Even though your Valentine's Day roses are already wilting and your heart-shaped candy box has been in the trash since, oh, 9:30am last Wednesday (I don't judge), the love is still in the air....and it's only proper for a blogger to grab that air, breathe it in.....and then write about it.
Or do her best to show said love in black & white photos of only the hottest pieces of ass in town!....or, uh, in LA town, not this town, as I'm usually surrounded by 16-18 year olds who think they are hot but are actually small, small babies with even smaller maturities.
I am not usually one to gush over celebrities, because I have class, dignity, and am in a loving relationship with SSB.
Unless you count John Mayer. I've lost all class when it comes to dishing about this piece of meat. Too bad he's a huge bag of douche now....still hot, though.
WHO else is hot in my eyes? (but not as hot as SSB, in the off chance he is reading this!!) WELL, I will show you....in black & white photos. Everyone looks better in black & white and men look sexier in black & white, so let's get down to biznizz!
WARNING: With this post, I have claimed stake to all of the following gentlemen. If, at any time, they become available for you to date, please inform them that you will be unable to accept their loving gesture because I, SS bitch, have already called dibs.....so send them my way, if you would be so kind ;)
1. James Dean (claiming him for the after-life, clearly) -- WHAT a stud. The start of all studs. He made it possible for men like James Franco, Johnny Depp and Justin Bobby (of The Hills fame) to look dirty and somehow still have ridiculous sex appeal. Applause are neccessary for this fine ass.
2. Joseph Gordon-Levitt -- I meeeeean, does this need justification? No. It really doesn't. This man is near perfection, end of story. Sings, acts, dresses well, acts like a gentlemen, stars in romantic movies and blockbusters (like the upcoming Batman). So yes, he is our closest human being to perfection. Smell it, take him in, he's a breathe of perfect summer air (see what I did there?!)
3. Andrew Garfield -- Okay, I really do need to claim stake on this one, as he isn't huge yet but will be soon enough....once his Spiderman movie comes out. He has great taste in women, too, because his arm candy is none other than my girl crush, Emma Stone. Well played, hunky hunk, well played!
4. Paul Rudd -- Call me unconventional here, but he has some odd quirk that I really enjoy (that's what she said). His humor is dry, his hair is dark, and his smile is just that adorable smirk that makes you wonder if he's an asshole or if he just is laughing at the rest of us for being schmucks & suckers to his charm. Ado-able....I mean adorable!
Other notable men include: John Mayer (bears repeating!), Ryan Gosling (obvious), Robert Pattinson (vampire love), and the classic stylings of George Clooney (gold medal for silver fox status). Yummo in my tummo of man love!
Let it be known that I do not condone the behavior of treating people like meat. After all, Johnny Depp said it best in Charlie & The Chocolate Factory. "....even I am eat-able, but that is considered cannibalism and is frowned upon in most countries." BOOM!
Really, though, I mean this all in good fun. SSB is an asshole, but in the most loving way possible.
& sure, these men are fantastic, but I obviously do not want to come across like a woman who charges after men like a starved panther. That's just wrong.....and I'm much more like a calm barracuda, just ask SSB!
For more man candy, though, follow my boards on Pinterest -- woot, woot!
Until next time, share your man candy with me so we can all drool.....................

Another Reason to Hate February!
Hello dear readers and friends, how are we doing today? Are you in the full swing of hating life all because of those dreaded winter blues? Well, let's talk about the mean reds, shall we? (Breakfast at Tiffany's reference, anyone?!) I meeeean, what happens in February about, oh, half way through the month? A day where we're supposed to profess our love to whomever with cards and homemade mailboxes? Oh....we aren't 10 anymore? Well then, shit, this holiday sucks!
I am not the anti-Valentine's Day gal because I've never had one. In fact, I always have....which isn't bragging in the slightest if you've met half the guys I dated (SSB not included, relax). I just never understood the holiday because I show lah-ving 24/7, so long as the rest of the world isn't being a bag of douche and forcing me to turn into the bitch I usually am.
However, we (being me and the BF, duh) still celebrate the holiday, and SSB and I will be doing so by eating a ton of red meat and guzzling down plenty of red wine (I'll take one for the team here), so we're totes in the spirit to celebrate themean reds during this oh-so festive holiday! WHAT TO WEAR then? Let's discuss........
I am rocking a fitted black dress from H&M that does way too good of a job of giving me a curvy top half and a whittled waist (but nowhere near as disgusting as that gal with the 20" waist.....gag). I plan on wearing a cream cropped jacket with black trim that gives a bit of a Chanel feel but at an H&M price. Fun Fact: For any "big" date SSB and I have had, I have worn an H&M dress. How about them apples?! Anywho, find a dress that is sexy but still classy, because you want your man (or your flavor of the moment) to see you as a force to be reckoned with......and you just look sleazy and cheesy (and too downright easy) in a dress too short or in a too-bold print. Stick to neutrals, solids, and polished shoes. You're dressing for your date, not the rest of the world, and it is best to keep it demure and subtle if you're going to a nicer place.
If there was ever a time to invest in a fabulous apron, now would be the time! Wear a classic v-neck or cardigan, throw on some dark skinnies, great flats, and find the cutest damn apron out there! Buy him one, too, to make the night that much more fun. Cooking together is a great way to commemorate the holiday; buy the heart-shaped cookie cutters, make food that is red or pink (spaghetti?!) and go all out in the cheesiest way possible. Finish the night with cute satin PJs (Victoria's Secret has the best) and watch the cheesiest love movie you can find! (SSB would never let that last part slide....and confession: I loathe The Notebook. I know....but it's just too sad!)
Some girls try to play the "it's about you" card and do something fun for their man.....even if they'd rather let their pup eat their favorite pair of heels than go to a hockey game on Valentine's Day. Regardless, if you are one of these gals, best to dress cute so you can at least look good while being miserable. Check out my post HERE on some great sporting event outfits. As for the ice skating bullshit (kidding), it's a great idea so long as you don't mind freezing. Wear a great winter coat and a bright scarf that brings out, I don't know, the color of your eyes...or the rosiness of your frozen cheeks (on your face, dolls.....) It's February after all, and if you're located in the north or east this month, the most important part is to stay warm...but still look gaw-ghus doing it!
"Forget men, let's just put our pocketbooks on the floor and just dance, screw guys, I just wanna dance!" Dane Cook had it right when he made this joke years ago. Some gals prefer to just hit up the town all-BFF-style over the holiday weekend and rightfully so! Wear the hottest jeans you have with that great blouse/top....you knowwww, the one that makes the girls look good but not like you're suffocating them....just the perfect balance to create that comment from your BFF that is something like....."Woah, when did she become so hot? I'm jealous.....she's going to dance with so many more guys than me. Bitch....." Add a blazer or leather jacket to offset the fact your girls will be freezing and top (or bottom?!) it off with the tallest black heels or wedges you own. OR the red heels that everyone else thinks are questionable but somehow become totally appropriate for this specific night!
(Funny Side Story.....one of the classes at my school had Mock Trials. The girls were told to look professional, like something their mother or grandmother would wear. One girl came in wearing the most offensively tight, short black skirt with HOT PINK 5-inch heels. It's a shame when your shift at the local 18&under club runs into, oh, 7:30am! Yikes.....)
What are you planning for your holiday/holiday weekend? Fill me in, I'd love to hear it. I leave you with some last-minute tips on keeping your hair and makeup just as festive as the rest of you this holiday ;)
HAIR AND MAKEUP TIPS
**Bring out the red lips if you're out with the girls....stick with a soft stain if you'll be smooching the man.
**A great pink cheek against a nice winter face is always in style. Use a bit of creme blush under a powder to help it set and last all night!
**Try putting hot rollers in your hair while doing your makeup or choosing your outfit. Flowing hair with a bit of bend and curl is perfect for the occasion. Not too stuffy but still romantic and fun! Be sure to hairspray the hell out of it with flexible hairspray, too!
Alright, put cupid's arrow in my ass, I'm done talking about this holiday!
Until next time, farewell love bugs and blogger valentines.................................

The First Step To {Superficial} Recovery
.....let's just be clear, I do not have a problem. SSB will be the first to say I do, but it's really a hobby, a passion, a mere interest. It doesn't threaten my well-being....just my wallet.
If something can have an accessory, I feel it is my civil duty as a genuinely superficial person to give it that added extra touch of love.
No, I don't own a bedazzler.
Rhinestones make me vomit.
However, my iPhone is less than a year old & has been through five phone cases.
I just bought a Nook and had to buy it a cover and an adorable reading light...you know, in case I read in the dark (which SSB quickly pointed out....I'm never in the dark.) The light was necessary, though, just in case I find myself in the dark.....JUST in case, people!
I bought my keys small gems (posted in a photo here) just because having one key just didn't justify the cuteness of my new car. Yeah, I went there. That key couldn't be lonely, that's just rude!
So yes, it isn't a problem, so there's no need to recover from it. Here are some other things in the accessory depart that I am lahhh-ving right now...for accessorizing myself & the things around me that--you know--need love, too!
1. This is the cover I picked for my new Nook (and I'm currently reading Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children) -- love anything that looks like a notebook. It was this or a Kate Spade cover...but it was $60 and I just wasn't swinging that when the one I chose was half of that!
2. WHEN (not if) I get the next iPad (SSB's ears are burning somewhere), I will buy this case. I want a case that is more like a Nook cover. I like the sleeves and all that MBMJ & Michael Kors make, but I would much rather have a constant case covering the back, just like I like my iPhone. The patent blue is fierce in my opinion!
3. This watch. Love a dual-tone watch & also love rose gold. I also love that it is NOT a tortoise Michael Kors watch that is literally on everyone's wrists these days! I really must have this. (There goes that so-called "problem" talking again.....)
4. I love having little things here & there in my classroom and on my desk and I love what B&N has to offer in the way of office accessories. How cute are these bookends?! One can never have too many bookends simply because one can never have too many books! (Nerd alert.)
What do YOU love to accessorize? Please fill me in! Obviously I will not buy all of these as reality usually sinks in (or just SSB's voice) and tells me I do not need bookends in multiple amounts or an iPad case when the newest iPad hasn't even been (officially) announced yet..........
..........Fiiiiiiine. Maybe I do have a problem. The first step is admitting it. The second? Feeding it, keeping it ALIIIIVE (cue Frankenstein voice). Screw youuuuu, SSB, leave me and my well-accesorized life alone! (Just kidding, just kidding!!)
Until next time, I'm off to go and look for a new phone case (kidding...sort of)............

Christmas Outfits - The Good & The (really) Bad
I know I have already done an outfit post for some go-to holiday styles, but I thought maybe I'd take a moment to point out some fashion trends that may or may not be a good idea to rock for your festive events.
Yeah, I'm talking about all those people you see at church, holiday parties, or work functions that took the dress code to an entirely new level....a level of utter travesty. Let's point them out verbally and giggle behind our computer screens, shall we?
#1 -- ALWAYS Keep it ClassyLadies, it is never ok to transform your club cocktail dress into a church-going clothing item. Really, the big man and baby Jesus will not smile down on you for your choice of poor fabric, shiny sequins, and sheer black tights you wore in a sorry attempt to "class" up your Christmas outfit.
Rather, think OPAQUE tights, something that hits closer to the knee than closer to your ass, and when in doubt, do not wear something that looks like it falls under the "club" section on F21's website. Yes, hunny, you know what I am talking about...step away from the one-shouldered animal print!
If you must deck the halls in wearable holiday cheer, do it with colors rather than visual art. Wear a red sweater with a great cream scarf. Rock a cobalt blue tee with a black blazer. Jewel tones say "let's rock in this holiday" in a much more fashion-forward way than the woman who has Christmas lights for buttons on her cardigan.
Have any more tips for our fallen fashion friends? Fill me in!
I will leave you with a photo of me & SSB from a Christmas party we attended this weekend.......and boy, we nailed the theme!
Ugly Christmas party?! More like absolutely-dreadful-to-the-point-of-tears Christmas party!! BOOM.

#2 -- Man(ifest) your Guy Code
Gentlemen, please, under no circumstance, wear a turtleneck to any holiday function. Really, even if you are married or have a girl locked down with a ring, it is still entirely unacceptable to revert yourself back to your childhood days of santa-printed turtlenecks and reindeer sweaters. Am I the only one seeing this horrific flashback to yesteryears?! Seriously, though, you look like you're suffocating yourself over the holiday stress and that is never a good look to sport, dear lads.
Rather, a solid-colored sweater or plaid button-down in neutral tones is a smart choice. Understated is always classy, never cheesy. Plus, if you don't have a girl locked down, then you have every reason to look sharp and not seedy with your Santa neck-contraption!
#3 - (Do NOT) Wear your Cheer on Your Sleeves
Lest we forget about those people who wear entirely too much cheer on their sleeves.....and stomachs and shoulders and legs and.....you get the point. Overdoing it on the trashy sweaters and printed pants may be humorous, but really, it is incredibly embarassing at the end of the day. Aside from being the goofy guy in your office or the funny history teacher all the kiddos love, this look does not work! The worst part is when women age themselves by rocking those 3D sweaters where the presents, snowmen, or Christmas trees are literally popping off the vest/sweater/trash...like, really, you really thought it looked good? Did you fail art as a child, too? Clearly your taste in all things creative fell to the wayside somewhere....I hope Santa finds it and brings it back for you with a tastefully wrapped ribbon to boot!If you must deck the halls in wearable holiday cheer, do it with colors rather than visual art. (Yes, mine lights up & yes, SSB has a stocking near/around
his southern region....gawwwd, I chose a classy one!)
Until next time, I sure hope you are making conscious Christmas clothing choices this season...........

School Daze
I was trying to find a file on my computer last night and within the endless abyss of documents, prose, and pictures, I stumbled upon my college past. Sounds scary, but really, it was wild to see how much has changed--or hasn't!--since those days.
I haven't been out for very long, I know, but I have been removed from my days in fashion school (for one hot semester) and the days of my Rihanna bob, so I thought it'd be interesting to share SS through the years....college edition. I think it's hard for us to see ourselves any differently throughout the years because we see ourselves numerous times a day (what vain bitches we all are!).....but these photos show a bit of a glimpse of change through the years of 18-23....
There you have it, the transformation of SS from scared freshman to graduated senior to now in the present day. I miss those days to a ridiculous extent. If you're still in college, I am a huge jelly belly because I wish I was in your position. Make the most of it, make all the wrong decisions just so you know you can make the right ones later!
If you're out of college like me, share your college photos! I would make this a cute link-up, but let's be honest, I'm way too lazy for that. Sorry I'm not sorry about it.
Until next time, farewell to you who never gained the freshman fifteen and to those who have not yet had the chance to do so........

FRESHMAN YEAR --
1. NO idea why this photo was taken, but I know I didn't take it. I think it was for my roommate's basic photo class or something. Either way, look at how blonde my hair was! I was in the sun a lot that summer so it was pretty light.....and long. I miss that length, I want it back!
2. I found that Power Ranger shirt at a thrift store right off campus called "Einstein's Attic" -- I look like I'm five...and that really hasn't changed much.
SOPHOMORE YEAR --
1&2. Still long hair, rocking the leather, my badass period where I chose the wrong boys (like the one behind me), the wrong booze, and made all the right memories. Junior year was a more severe version of this, but we won't divulge into those moments.........for another time, my loves. Cue Rihanna's most recent hit, "We Found Love" & these photos will make much more sense, HAH!
JUNIOR YEAR --
1. Where oh where did my hair go?! I loved this haircut at the time, so simple, so chic, definitely fit my personality. This was me, cah-learly intoxicated....celebrating my 21st!
2. I'll take random solo photos over the duck face pose photos anyyyyday, sister!
SENIOR YEAR --
1. Student teacher days, where of course I took photos of my self in school!
2. SSB is in the picture now.....literally. (I don't know why we look so sexy, I assure you we weren't trying to look salaciously at the camera....because SSB doesn't even know what that word means.)
AAAAAND NOW --

Weekend OOTD
I am not a fashion-only blogger.
I feel like most--if not all--of you already know this.
There are some blogs I adore and all they do is post photos of their outfits. Usually oufits I could nah-ever afford or outfits that amaze me because it's all thrifted and I just never have that kind of luck, but these blogs all provide me with an everyday editorial....which are usually better than the actual editorials in magazines that include creepy men, lambs, and off-site locations that just look odd.
{for good fashion-only blogs, check out Atlantic-Pacific and The Moptop}
Then, there are other fashion-only blogs that I adore but for an entirely different reason. They pose in such hysterical ways that make me wonder if they are being serious. Fear not, if I comment on your blog about your outfit or just about anything else, you are not one of these bloggers. Chances are if you're reading this blog, you are not one of these bloggers!
So SSB & I headed out for Happy Hour at a local bar yesterday and after he downed three beers on virtually no food and I slurped down two cocktails, I convinced SSB to take photos of my outfit. It's not even a great outfit, it's not exactly perfectly planned, but hey, we were buzzed......and I pulled out my best damned awkward poses for your viewing pleasure. NO need to thank me, really, just laugh it up. You can, however, thank the ever-so charming SSB for taking these when he had no idea what my intention was. "WHY do you look so sad in this photo?" Oh, SSB, you have no idea about the world of fashion-gone-funny blogging. At least he's still cute.
PREFACE: Honestly, I don't have specific bloggers in mind, and I don't want anyone to be offended. I mean, after all, I'm the one who is actin' a fool here, people! Remember that fact!
Pose #1 - Deer in Headlights
Truthfully, I usually look like a DIH because I'm frazzled by just about anything, but this is one of the true gems that I love seeing on OOTD posts!
Pose #2 - Why so sad? Why soooo serious? (is The Joker around?!)
This takes me back to Myspace days when you were supposed to take sad photos of yourself not looking at the camera. I mean, there ARE photos where not looking at the camera still looks entirely normal, so long as you do not have a terribly pitiful look of your face. Enter horribly pitiful face in the following photo.....
Pose #3 - Full Blown Profile
These gals have clearly never taken a good theatre class....profile never means to turn completely sideways, rookie mistake, dolls. Always place the feet towards the audience/camera, position your body so we can still see you.......& no offense, this just looks like you're trying to show off your ass(ets) and does nothing for your OOTD.
Until next time, I hope you're all having a wonderful weekend....go ahead and post your best awkward photos.......after plenty of alcohol, of course........
I feel like most--if not all--of you already know this.

{for good fashion-only blogs, check out Atlantic-Pacific and The Moptop}
{this is how Bambi looks right before your car swerves to miss hitting her......}
Pose #2 - Why so sad? Why soooo serious? (is The Joker around?!)
This takes me back to Myspace days when you were supposed to take sad photos of yourself not looking at the camera. I mean, there ARE photos where not looking at the camera still looks entirely normal, so long as you do not have a terribly pitiful look of your face. Enter horribly pitiful face in the following photo.....
{either I'm sad...or scared of a mouse in the corner...this could go both ways, folks}
{only made better by the bunched placement of my hair....}
For the record, my OOTD includes:
Old Navy Jeans
Target Converse Tank
F21 Leather Jacket
F21 Heels
Scarf (stolen from my sister in high school...)
MBMJ Bag
I mean, if you can't laugh at yourself, at least you can count on everyone else to ;) I kid, I kid!
With that being said, I hope you all learned a bit on how to pose properly in your next OOTD spread.
Look forward to a potential Teacher OOTD this week...if I take the time to actually plan a good outfit, that is.

HAPPY FREAKING HALLOWEEN
Can you believe it is the last day of October? Really, if there wasn't a holiday on this day, I think I would have completely forgotten about October ending and woke up on Tuesday like it was just another day in the tenth month. Pretty much like when I wake up in a panic at 6:15am on a Saturday not realizing I'm not late for a gosh darn thing. So I'm not the best with times and dates...whatever.
Now, if you are an avid SS reader (then I stinking LOVE you...), you may know that SSB and I were clueless when it came to picking a costume this year. I did a solid two or three posts where you all could vote....well, we went with NONE of those. Don't be offended, dear readers, it was our (mine & SSB's, that is!) fault and our fault alone...we just don't see eye to eye on creative things in life.........until we have alcohol in our system and encouragment from bartenders. Yeah, I just went there.
We were mulling it over in our minds, thinking about what we could possibly to do to top our costume last year. Well, we realized we couldn't top it, so that was that.
Then we thought about what the people at the party would enjoy, what they'd recognize, what they'd be impressed by. Then I named the wrong superhero/woman because I'm clueless in the department of nerdiness, which then turned into the following conversation/debate....
SSB: "Wait, you should be her!"
Me: "Seriously?! There's no way, she wears latex...."
SSB: "Come on, they'll love it, it's a great movie...."
(At this point the bartenders hear, they like the idea, encouraging us to do it.)
Me: "I don't know, it's gutsy...you get to be covered up, too, that's not exactly fair."
SSB: "What other choice do we have?"
Me: "We have lots of choices where I don't have to wear a bathing suit!"
SSB: "You'd have to buy a wig, too, I think."
Me: {thinking for a solid five seconds} "OH! You're right....ok, I'll do it!!"
So.....if you haven't ever seen the film or read the graphic novel version of it, watch the below trailer to get an idea of who we chose to be. (Seriously, the trailer is badass, watch it....) -- Rent/buy/pirate the movie, people, it's good, it's a movie even this girl-tastic girl loves watching! It's set in an alternative 1985 and, holy shit, my character has killer outfit choices when she isn't wearing latex!
The costumes seemed to be a big hit, but that's because we played to the party guests' strengths, we knew a ton of people there would be allll over a good comic book/graphic novel couple costume! And, damnit, we were right!
The party was a lot of fun and I am glad we chose these costumes. Now I guess I have to become some sort of cat burglar or nighttime crime watcher just so I can wear this outfit again and get my money's worth!
PLEASE post your photos of your costume(s), I love seeing other people's choices!
I will leave you with my teacher OOTD for this Halloween..........it's a doozy.
Happy Halloween to all, and until next time, I hope you all have had a wonderful October........
BEFORE we get into the costumes portion of this post, you must first go to my blogging buddy's page because I did a guest post over there on fantabulous cold-weather coats! Woohoo to guest posting and YAY to Little Ramblings who asked me to do it -- love her, love her blog, love love love all around.
Alas, it IS Halloween and I am here to share with you photos of SSB and I from the Halloween party we attended over the weekend. Now, if you are an avid SS reader (then I stinking LOVE you...), you may know that SSB and I were clueless when it came to picking a costume this year. FINAL DECISION: Watchmen Characters - Silk Spectre and The Nite Owl
(Silk Spectre hooks up with The Nite Owl once leaving the big blue dude, Dr. Manhattan...
I swear I'm not a loser nerd.....)
{my character shows up in the :57 mark and SSB's dude shows up at 1:03.....
in case you really don't feel like watching the whole thing!}
And if you really didn't even want to click play on the trailer (shame on you!), here are the movie posters featuring our characters....
And....here WE are as those characters.....
{I mean, let's be real, I could not possibly fight crime in this outfit!}
{The garters make it instantly risque but I assure you all body parts were
covered that should be covered....just a little leg action for ya!}
CLOSE UP, BITCHES
{the black hair made my blue peepers really stand
out in person....but the bangs, NOT a fan....}
The party was a lot of fun and I am glad we chose these costumes. Now I guess I have to become some sort of cat burglar or nighttime crime watcher just so I can wear this outfit again and get my money's worth!

ummm HELL YES I wore this around all day....walked in this morning with it on like it was no big deal. Kiddos loved it...well, some were "too cool" to appreciate a good panda hat. High schoolers, psshhh.
Teacher OOTD : Target Blazer, Target White Tee, Black Cigarette Pants (boutique in college), F21 heels (for the "bamboo" effect, since you know, pandas eat that shit up.)
Happy Halloween to all, and until next time, I hope you all have had a wonderful October........

Pics at the Punkin Patch (photo heavy, yo)
{my first cat was named "punkin" because my sister couldn't actually say the word "pumpkin" yet -- now I call all pumpkins that instead...get over it.}
HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVE!
I am sadly not here to share my costume with you all, as I am saving that for the actual holiday, but rather, I am here to share some seasonal festive photos!
SSB and I did a Wednesday day date to the pumpkin patch....
which means the place was practically empty....
the weather happened to be quite dreary....
which means the places was really empty.....
which means we took photos like odd tourists.....
even though we live not 30 minutes from said patch.....
PHOTOS!

1. SSB: "Get in the jail!" Me: "No, you get in the jail." (Silence) Me: "Fiiiine, I'll get in the jail."
2. "I'm ridin' solo, I'm ridin' solo, solo....."
3. Punkins! (It was cold and drizzly....hence my scarf hat!)
4. Classic couple-ly shot.
5. Another classic couple-ly shot.
4. Classic couple-ly shot.
5. Another classic couple-ly shot.
6. Aaaaannd one more for good measure......
7. SSB holding our pick from the patch! (he didn't know I took this, he just has that much swagger...)
8. Ticketttts! Get yo' tickettttts!
9. Mining for gold (for the little ones on the weekends).
10. Umm....YUM!
{OOTD : H&M Skull Tee, Aldo Jeggings, Aldo Boots, F21 Cardigan, F21 Scarf, H&M Sunglasses} .....SSB is probably wearing all American Eagle, shocker.....
Then we went off to Mad Mex(ican) and got ourselves a GOBBLERITO! If you have yet to enjoy this eighth wonder of the world, it is Thanksgiving in a flour tortilla....really. Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and corn inside, topped with gravy and a side of cranberry sauce (which I despise!) SSB & I shared one, of course, and had some margs to top it off! There you have it, my most recent day/evening date with SSB -- I'll be back tomorrow to share with you some photos from our Halloween party, woot woot! Just as a hint....we did not go with any of our first (or second or third) options....we just couldn't agree on any of them....go figure. THIS we did agree on, though, although I needed some serious convincing (and you'll understand why soon enough). Hope you all had a great holiday weekend and an even happier actual Halloween come tomorrow!
I'm doing this post as part of a link-up with BohoBabyBump, too, so you should showcase your Halloween weekend and link-up, as well! (It's happening on four different sites, mah-jor!)

Fallin' for You
Little play on words action for you there ;)
If you're currently dating someone, perhaps you, too, have those items in your wardrobe that are not-so-loved by your significant other. For example, take the conversation SSB (Superficial Sanctuary Boyfriend, for new readers!) & I shared just the other day.....
Me : Wait, you actually do like everything I wear? Really?
SSB: Well, yeah. Well, except for that one wing top.
Me: [in a rushed, frantic tone] Don't tell me it's the cream winged top, I love that top. Or the floral one, is it that one? OH WAIT, could it be the other patterned one I have? WHICH ONE IS IT DAMNIT!
SSB: I regret ever mentioning this.
......and scene.
I know for a fact there are items in my closet that SSB does not enjoy, and even though I have yet to determine which winged top is the guilty party, I will wear all of them with or without his approval..........
So let's just get to today's topic.....mixing your "non-boyfriend" items with some of his favorites to complete a couple (hah, word play again!) of perfect date outfits/items for this cooler season.
#1 - Sure, it's all covered up, but the tight jeans and leather jacket give it a sexy feel still...SSB loves a pair of tight jeans, but what boy doesn't?! For more of a boyfriend-approved feel, scrap the scarf and avoid buttoning to shirt to the neck ;)
#2 - I love the classic fall look to this outfit and bootcut jeans and a fitted blazer show all the right curves. The boots add a fun, trendy effect to finish a look that is girl AND boy approved!
#3 - So SSB may think sequins are just "round, shiny things" and that feathers are just for birds, but combining them in this sophisticated way makes this an outfit all the girls will love, and the color and shape of the dress is certainly eye-catching for your significant other, so he won't give a shit whether or not your clutch is "fuzzy." Definitely a great outfit for an extra-special evening out, whether it is an anniversary dinner or just an occasion where you need to amp it up a bit - who doesn't love those nights?!
#4 - Edgy and cool, trendy enough but still a classic look that any male can appreciate. The boots and sweater are tough, but the color of the scarf and fit of the skirt balance it out to create an overall homerun for any fun date night!
There you have it, outfits for your dates this season that girls will want to steal and your man will still love - best of both worlds! Be sure to have fun and experiment, but always feel comfortable...no date is very enjoyable when you constantly have to fix your too-short skirt!
Do you have any outfit go-to items for dates or nights out? Any pieces that you love to wear out? Fill me in, I'd love to know!
I'll leave you with photos of my NEWER color -- in case you haven't read about my first/second hair coloring experience, feel free to do so here. Today, I just decided it needed to have a bit more of a richer feel with a lot less blonde. What I got was a full head of awesome...or awesome in my opinion ;)
Until next time, farewell & have fun on those upcoming dates ;).................

SS & SSB need YOUR help!
In case you have yet to notice the date, as I usually always do on most days, we have hit the mid-point of September. Wild, right? With that in mind, something is just around the corner!
Now, before you go all cray-zay on me and discuss your love or hatred for this holiday, you can zip it, because I've heard it all, and frankly, I don't care (sorry, that was harsh!).....but really, I tend to see all sides on the big "devil-holiday" debate.
-Yes, you're right, it is terrible holiday which has no real meaning.
-Definitely, I see your point on how it is a great time to be creative.
-Oh hell yes, it's a perfect excuse for free candy that may or may not have been touched by complete strangers first.
-Uh, I couldn't agree more that it is indeed a terrible excuse for skanks to look even skankier!
There, have we covered all our Halloween bases? GOOD. Let's move on, shall we?
SS (me, you silly heads!) and SSBoyfriend (the better, less-superficial half) need YOUR help. Last year, on a whim, we decided to be Alice and The Mad Hatter....and it went over fantastically. Not because I had the perfect hair color and bought the perfect bow headband to be Alice and, no, not because I've secretly wanted to be her for years, but because SSBoyfriend shaved off his beard and wore a full face of makeup for it and no one knew it was him. He gets all the love after I did all the work!
HALLOWEEN!

Photo Evidence of "Team Wonderland":
These were taken at two separate Halloween bashes, on two separate nights.
That's TWO nights of doing that makeup. Woof.
Now, with Halloween 2011 right around the corner, we're in the planning stages again, and we just can't decide, so we're looking for YOUR help. I posted some of our ideas below, but other suggestions are encouraged!
We want it to be fun without having to:
A) wear full masks
B) have too much fabric so we don't sweat our pants off, or
C) explain who/what we are (nothing worse than saying, "No, we're actually this and this, but your guess was sort of kind of not close at all!")
We have thought about......
A) Ghost Busters
B) Cleopatra and Pharaoh/Caesar/M.Anthony
C) Beetlejuice and Lydia
Any other couple ideas you have would be great! I suggested just being our own separate costumes since we couldn't decide on something this year, but SSB stated, "Where's the fun in that?" He's a team player, that one!
So yes, go off into the world and discuss your love/hatred/confusion with this holiday, but also help us in our quest to find a costume to out-do our jump down the rabbit hole last year. We'd greatly appreciate it!
Halloween Countdown = 32 Days!
Until next time, farewell to all my spook-tacular SS readers. YEAH, I went there.........
