Ok, fine, an entire month <em>and</em> <em>one more day</em>. I get it.<br />
I'm an awful blogger.<br />
<br />
No, I didn't fall off a cliff.<br />
No, I haven't been away from a computer.<br />
No, I have literally no excuses, funny or otherwise.<br />
<br />
<em>I know clear minds should prevail</em>, but I have decided to end my blogging days for the time being. <br />
There is a <em>very</em> solid chance I will pick this up again when summer hits and juniors/seniors are no longer ruling my life.<br />
For now, though, I am putting my Superficial duties on hold to focus on my job, my sister's wedding, time with SSB, and my life in general. <br />
<br />
<strong>PLEASE feel free to stalk me through my <a href="http://twitter.com/tour_eh">Twitter</a> and Instagram (tour_eh).</strong> I have turned into an Insta-Whore (that's what she said....) and have been doing well on keeping my tweets chirpy (get it? I am so lame.)<br />
<br />
So, yes, this is NOT goodbye, but rather......hey, we dated for a while and it was fantastic, the sex was phenomenal, but I just need some me time, you know, <em>without</em> you in my bed snoring every single night. Yep, you guessed it....it isn't <em>you</em>, it IS me, indeed.<br />
<br />
Thank you to each and every single one of you for making SS the most superficial it can be. I absolutely adore every last one of you and hope you will be around when I make a sick comeback.....or, whatever.<br />
<br />
<br />
Until next time, whenever that next time comes............<br />

<br />
No, that's not true at all, you silly cats and hood rats.<br />
I'm just busy. & (slightly) lazy. & formerly sick with some crazy unknown illness that's really <strike>no more serious than</strike> just the common cold.<br />
<br />
I am BACK for a bit, though, to catch you up on the not-so-cool things going on in the world of SS. My students sit silently taking a standardized test (draft writing, my bad!), so my downtime is great and I am lah-ving it! Here's a quick (or not so quick) Five Friday for you, random updates edition!<br />
<br />
<br />
<strong><span style="font-size: large;">1.</span></strong> First things first, this weekend is St. Patrick's Day and I may look more Irish than I really am, but damnit, I celebrate like a champ. The downtown festivities cannot be missed and the weather is proving to be quite charming and lovely for a wonderful time of outdoor day drinking.....BUT <em>what</em> to wear, one might ask? Well, I have been searching far & wide for the perrrfect pair of green jeans. "A pop of color by way of denim is so in right now, SS, how easy for you!" -- HAH, I laugh at your naivety, because the only jeans I could find were mint, teal, turquoise, sea foam, or just about any shade of green aside from IRISH green. That is until I walked into Old Navy post-workout one night out of sheer bordem (or sheer panic of needing green jeans). LAST pair of true green pants that exist on the planet...and they were on the mannequin. Nuh-uh, SS ain't havin' that! I promptly turned into "that girl" and asked one of the employees if I could de-pants their female model. She didn't seem fazed at all--helpful even!--to endure the awkward task. Once I had the pants in my hand, I thanked her kindly for her de-robing skills and also apologized for being "that girl" (which makes you even <em>more so</em> "that girl") -- air quotes over. <u>Green pants found.</u> Let the drinking commence! (tomorrow, that is....) I leave you with not a photo of new skinny pants (sort of self-explanatory) but a recipe for a grrrrreast Irish beverage that sounds disgusting but you need to taste it to believe the magic. Fo' reals. If my one sistahh is reading, she'll be proud I posted this!<br />
<br />
<strong>IRISH BREAKFAST SHOT</strong> -- If you do it correctly, the finishing taste is <em>exactly</em> like pancakes...wild!<br />
1. In one shot glass, pour <strong>two counts of any whiskey</strong> and <strong>one count of butterscotch schnapps</strong>.<br />
2. In another shot glass, <strong>pour in some good ol' orange juice</strong>.<br />
3. Take the first shot and immediately follow with the second.<br />
4. Let the pancake taste fill your mouth with joy.<br />
.......you're welcome ;)<br />
<br />
<strong><span style="font-size: large;">2.</span></strong> Second things second, I have a new baby! She's adorable, really, and although I've dressed her in the one color I hate most (pink), she still somehow shines and sparkles like a true superficial piece of technology after my own heart.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPnEzzBDUnss3y091EpeWffawg3pjDk7R2dYh3rBiMCLzJUtw7ye-xRQENd6FQ2-aMsgOyNNlm-lRhsEdX98BCh4fFrhZfs4NAQL_tD30F44dk7sibkLu9aa6FADZ9OfImMeUxrWuvN1vM/s1600/ipadnew.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img aea="true" border="0" height="199" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPnEzzBDUnss3y091EpeWffawg3pjDk7R2dYh3rBiMCLzJUtw7ye-xRQENd6FQ2-aMsgOyNNlm-lRhsEdX98BCh4fFrhZfs4NAQL_tD30F44dk7sibkLu9aa6FADZ9OfImMeUxrWuvN1vM/s320/ipadnew.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">{awkward crooked photo much? sorry.....}</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div>I know, I know, the "newww" iPad is coming out THIS Friday (aka today), but why not jump on this deal?! The iPad 2 is now $100 cheaper and the "newww" iPad has grrreat specs and all, but I don't need all that mumbo-jumbo schtuff when the 2 is just as cute. Done deal. I went up a bit in SSB's book for owning one. What a <strike>loser</strike> techy he is!<br />
<br />
<strong><span style="font-size: large;">3.</span></strong> On the topic of technology, I have been bah-bah-busy with stuff at school...but mostly outside of my own classroom. Seniors are starting to get hellishly sick with something I can only find to be LAZINESS, but they have some cutesy name called "senioritis" -- I mean, I had it too....but for four years of college, so it was entirely different....and entirely warranted! Oh, right, <em>technology</em>. Well, in the midst of all the cray-cray going on, THIS happened.....<br />
<div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWvLQ83F6DQ0iJPeFY27hkcnO7SJ9zNqpsTIJSfhGFOJV8AIMjWiqM2FcHj_U-WqGz4yaS-r3gdSQJfMpQZkSBHckFwlEHUc6ibqATsaIOQh8R29ny4wUgWOwPQcWL0glhBedMdd_D6bY4/s1600/phonedestroyed.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img aea="true" border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWvLQ83F6DQ0iJPeFY27hkcnO7SJ9zNqpsTIJSfhGFOJV8AIMjWiqM2FcHj_U-WqGz4yaS-r3gdSQJfMpQZkSBHckFwlEHUc6ibqATsaIOQh8R29ny4wUgWOwPQcWL0glhBedMdd_D6bY4/s320/phonedestroyed.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;">MAN DOWN. (if you're like me & want durability without buying an Otterbox, <a href="https://www.speckproducts.com/iphone-case/iphone-4-case/candyshell-for-iphone-4s.html">buy a SPECK case</a>!)</div><br />
<strong><span style="font-size: large;">4.</span></strong> Can I make a shout-out now? To one of my dearest blogging pals, <a href="http://procrastinatingpretty.blogspot.com/">The Procrastinator</a>! I was out shopping at Marshall's to find a yoga towel (ok, to find just about <em>anything</em> cute) when I came across a makeup item she recommended to me a few months back. & WOAH, honey child, I lahhhhve it dearly. I dare not leave you in suspense any longer....<br />
<strong>Enter: The Balm Products</strong><br />
I found not ONE, not TWO, but THREE different sets from The Balm and I just could not decide....so I picked up all three. Then, a small voice (or my friend) told me I was being irrational considering two of the sets had very similar products. I let my better thoughts win out and purchased only two. Life-savers, I tell ya! The products include.....(sorry no personal photos of post-purchase packages since I ripped into those bad boys faster than La-Lohan gets outta jail!)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivMQ1dwtW16ImWVhJSgnhlRg6Z2cpdyten3IfR4aPG9eCsFAeLKFXValTTnCZVPuG4utqw4RR2EOFor4b3Ez9JLvROZbU4BjP0A8X2WB1hE8tOvOiPsfr3UAfBbwvFx49AkxJcxt7_fGNX/s1600/blushshinebrush.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img aea="true" border="0" height="160" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivMQ1dwtW16ImWVhJSgnhlRg6Z2cpdyten3IfR4aPG9eCsFAeLKFXValTTnCZVPuG4utqw4RR2EOFor4b3Ez9JLvROZbU4BjP0A8X2WB1hE8tOvOiPsfr3UAfBbwvFx49AkxJcxt7_fGNX/s640/blushshinebrush.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />

The packaging alone suckered me in before the inner genius in me screamed and said, "THIS is what <a href="http://procrastinatingpretty.blogspot.com/">The Procastinator</a> was talking about!" <br />
The products I purchased are two blushes (Hot Mama & Frat Boy), a shine powder (Sexy Mama), and a mini kabuki brush (sooo soft!) -- the BEST of the bunch (and the reason I freaked out) was the Bahama Mama Bronzer...so fab, I love it a ridiculous amount! <br />
If you are not already following The Procrastinator's posts, you're missing out, dear readers! <a href="http://procrastinatingpretty.blogspot.com/">Go check her out immediately</a>. Seriously....go.<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><strong>5.</strong></span>I leave you with just ONE teacher <strike>rant</strike> story to end this hodge-podge-fodge post!<br />
<strong>Male Student:</strong> Miss Smith, I wanted to ask you something, but really do not want you to be mad at me.<br />
<strong>Me:</strong> Ok, well opening with that line never ends well, soo.....<br />
<strong>Male Student:</strong> But Miss Smith, I'm one of the best in this class, and I really need your help!<br />
<strong>Me:</strong> Ok, ok, shoot....<br />
<strong>Male Student:</strong> I am entering a local radio contest to win VanHalen tickets. Soooo....<br />
<strong>Me:</strong> Ok, spit it out, class is starting...<br />
<strong>Male Student:</strong> Well you only win the contest if you enter a photo of your teacher while they're teaching.<br />
<strong>Me:</strong> That doesn't make <em>any </em>sense!....I'm not a fan but I know that's <em>not</em> how their hit song goes...<br />
<strong>Male Student:</strong> Uhhh, well this is awkward now. It <em>is</em> a hot teacher contest.<br />
<strong>Me:</strong> Sit down, it's not happening. <br />
<strong>Male Student:</strong> (whispering to classmate as he walks away) I'll just get the photo when she isn't paying attention.<br />
<strong>Me:</strong> I heard that.<br />
<strong>Male Student:</strong> Shit.<br />
....and scene. All in a day's work of educating our youth....on what you should <em>never</em> ask your teacher. (PS the actual radio contest is not a real teacher contest...just for people to <em>dress up</em> like slore-bags and pretend to play hot teacher for a couple snapshots. I meeeean, I don't play pretend anymore, kitty cats, those days are past me, thank you very much....I don't pretend to play the bitch teacher anymore, I just <em>am</em> her!)<br />
<br />
<br />
I am so sorry for straying from the SS scene as of late. Promises to do better, but promises are empty, soooo I'll just go ahead and say I'll see ya when I see ya next ;) --which WILL be soon!<br />
<strong>RANDOM FINISHING NOTE:</strong> Listen to <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UVNT4wvIGY">Gotye's "Somebody I Used To Know"</a> and let your ears jump with melodic joy. It's good. SO. good.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">Until next time, I hope you have all been doing faaabulously in your own lives.........<br />

I am here today to send out a mini review on TWO products I think you need to add to your arsenal.....ASAP ;) Consider this a review <i>and</i> a favorites during the month of February, considering I purchased them a solid two (ok, three) weeks ago. Failed blogger much?!<br />
<br />
I love beauty and hoarding products as much as the next superficial bitch, but I have never actually purchased MAC products before. Sure, I've stolen an eyeshadow or blush from my sister one or ten times, but that doesn't equate to actually owning my own items...until just recently. Here are the three I purchased on mere impulse.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuupTtk6Y2DOzOHADRKFZ9stVHTwZ8Pq73-s7eo1nT5mhc4qhybe6DEavW3Ov1WTZyByPjDEATOh-pLfESpTi_FhN2zF7-Y5V_caay8ZxS-nEka3XeitY5LPSfpg4tgSAkzyTdi-yJriBD/s1600/MAC.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" lda="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuupTtk6Y2DOzOHADRKFZ9stVHTwZ8Pq73-s7eo1nT5mhc4qhybe6DEavW3Ov1WTZyByPjDEATOh-pLfESpTi_FhN2zF7-Y5V_caay8ZxS-nEka3XeitY5LPSfpg4tgSAkzyTdi-yJriBD/s320/MAC.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
First & foremost, I already send this review was on TWO products, but there are three shown here. WELL, dear readers, I am returning the foundation after only <u>one</u> use. I wanted so badly to love this Pro Longwear Foundation after hearing such rave reviews, but I think MAC's foundation colors are just too dark for my paler complexion. Also, the consistency felt tacky after a bit of time on my face. I went back to my Revlon ColorStay for my date night after wearing the MAC all day and my skin looked <i>so</i> much better. I swear, I have <b>yet to find a department store foundation that I love</b> as much as my drugstore Revlon and Maybelline products, fo' reals!<br />
What are <i>your</i> thoughts on <b>Clinique's EvenBetter Foundation</b> (what I <i>was</i> going to buy before my MAC splurge)? My sister is a fan, but I didn't know if anyone out there had something negative to say about it. A foundation that works as skincare and isn't a BB cream is a-ok in my book! I may give it a try.....we'll see.<br />
<br />
My MAC impulsive splurge wasn't completely lost, though, oh no, hunnies! I also bought the <b>SkinFinish Natural</b> in Light Plus and I cannot put into words how obsessed I am over this product -- it is unbelievable! It sets my foundation to last <i>all day</i> and it's never too cakey or chalky, even if I accidently put too much on my brush. It blends <b>flawlessly</b>, covers <b>beautifully</b>, and I don't even really need concealer after using it. If you have yet to buy a MAC product or you just are in the market for a new setting powder, THIS is the powder to buy. It makes my MUFE HD powder look like a whimpy bitch, no joke. Run to your MAC counter/store and buy this!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyjGUsl9MYptDSgahiwLUhlsC9on6IkJ8A4jcnx_8_cw73woqrU64iJ_m0pP3tllmhLDqPwAW_2fjCZ-TLNQWx2gxFbNYxJZlAgBgi5PO1MKsFF-bDANMtJVridLEZ8pX2RnSp3lwPUo_O/s1600/skinfinish2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" lda="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyjGUsl9MYptDSgahiwLUhlsC9on6IkJ8A4jcnx_8_cw73woqrU64iJ_m0pP3tllmhLDqPwAW_2fjCZ-TLNQWx2gxFbNYxJZlAgBgi5PO1MKsFF-bDANMtJVridLEZ8pX2RnSp3lwPUo_O/s400/skinfinish2.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br />
Now that I am back to my blonde locks (and damnit, it feels SO good!), I realize my lip colors from my brunette/auburn days only work if I add a bit of bronzer to my face.....which I habe been much to lazy to do lately. I wanted a lip balm that was a bit like a lipstick and the lip butters were recently sold out at my Target, and there I was in front of MAC's<b> Sheen Supreme</b> colors.......and found my darling, literally. Ultra Darling is the cutest stinking color out there right now, hands down. No matter how light or heavy of a hand I use to apply it, it always looks good! I have been applying it over my BabyLips balm (which is the best damn $2 I've ever spent!!) and it makes my lips look fuller and so healthy, I have used it consistently everyday since buying it and I cannot imagine life without it now! Really, even if the color isn't for you, buy another Sheen Supreme Lipstick, because they are fantastic.....I myself plan on finding another shade to enjoy just as my asmy pink darling ;)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgXch9fLmM_8XQohs3jKWW2VyaQzF2OcQYW8OOrYZ1l3FwNjkM_wR3hV3c7BP7eUtl-fme9nDjwMdjHduWUGgBCS6on00LRjQKrjTcf5o4MoLoAHjWkw0GwWmTdjqznEpMKUY1s9QgkDYoO/s1600/Udarling.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" lda="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgXch9fLmM_8XQohs3jKWW2VyaQzF2OcQYW8OOrYZ1l3FwNjkM_wR3hV3c7BP7eUtl-fme9nDjwMdjHduWUGgBCS6on00LRjQKrjTcf5o4MoLoAHjWkw0GwWmTdjqznEpMKUY1s9QgkDYoO/s400/Udarling.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<br />
There you have it, my two new favorite products. Please do yourself a favor and grab a Natural SkinFinish and a Sheen Supreme Lipstick in your favorite shade. You will <i>not</i> be disappointed in the slightest. After all, SS would never point you in the wrong direction ;) I got yo' back, bias!<br />
<br />
<br />
Until next time, farewell pretty faces and beautiful people...............................<br />

<br />
I am here today to only talk about the dresses I <em>adored</em>, though, and will leave out the ones I could have done without. WHAT is our fashion/celebrity world coming to when there was not a single dress I completely despised? Sure, I didn't love all of the looks, but I never <u>once</u> had to gag or spit out of my drink in shock of someone..........<br />
<br />

<br />
......but I got nothing. (except for saying this is obvi a <em>scheduled</em> post, seeing as how I am <em>not</em> drinking on the job before 8am.....OR am I?)<br />
<br />
I could blame many, many things on my lack of blogging, but really, I have nothing for you that would be anything but a sorry, lame excuse. Also, I <i>still</i> cannot find my damn camera cord, and taking iPhone photos is getting ooooold, so I have pulled what creative juices I have left and re-created my work attire for you in Polyvore form. Most of these include at least one <i>actual</i> piece from my outfits this past week (including today's) and <i>all</i> of the outfits are virtually the exact same in terms of style, color, fit, and overall look. Polyvore, you're too damn good!<br />
<br />
Indulge....and Happy {Five} Friday!<br />

Something about a maxi dress and my cropped F21 white/black color blocking blazer pulled the whole outfit up to an extremely professional level, despite the casual t-shirt. I try to keep my outfits balanced between cute/trendy and business/professional. My students always ask where I find all of my clothes, and little do they know MOST come from stores they shop at.....like F21 and Old Navy. Yeah, bitches, I'm just that crafty ;) Make it werrrk, sistah!<br />
<br />
Have a fabulous weekend, enjoy yourselves! I'll leave you with my latest purchase/splurge and a photo of me and Mr.SSB from our Valentine's Day weekend dinner (where we hit up da club afterwards to meet his friends.....yeah, we keep it real...and sweaty).<br />

<br />
Or do her best to show said love in black & white photos of only the hottest pieces of ass in town!....or, uh, in LA town, not <i>this</i> town, as I'm usually surrounded by 16-18 year olds who think they are hot but are actually small, small babies with even smaller maturities.<br />
<br />
I am not usually one to gush over celebrities, because I have class, dignity, and am in a loving relationship with SSB.<br />
Unless you count John Mayer. I've lost all class when it comes to dishing about this piece of meat. Too bad he's a huge bag of douche now....<i>still</i> hot, though.<br />
<br />
<br />
WHO else is hot in my eyes? (but not as hot as SSB, in the off chance he is reading this!!) WELL, I will show you....in black & white photos. Everyone looks better in black & white and men look <i>sexier</i> in black & white, so let's get down to biznizz! <br />
WARNING: With this post, I have claimed stake to all of the following gentlemen. If, at any time, they become available for you to date, please inform them that you will be unable to accept their loving gesture because I, SS bitch, have already called dibs.....so send them my way, if you would be so kind ;)<br />
<br />
1.<b> James Dean </b>(claiming him for the after-life, clearly) -- WHAT a stud. The start of all studs. He made it possible for men like James Franco, Johnny Depp and Justin Bobby (of <i>The Hills</i> fame) to look dirty and somehow still have ridiculous sex appeal. Applause are neccessary for this fine ass.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMIIrbtctWe_bYXy3B2BLRuUIGtv_4I8ej4RsmTPTX0H6ovybinsnmHymf-2-FaIzCAMKSOYFROCp4VNY25Gy_lUSlBwJo_BKR867NFquXtys7RTUsGScL-ry95YoRHJShVCYGu9W39Qhz/s1600/jamesdean4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="212" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMIIrbtctWe_bYXy3B2BLRuUIGtv_4I8ej4RsmTPTX0H6ovybinsnmHymf-2-FaIzCAMKSOYFROCp4VNY25Gy_lUSlBwJo_BKR867NFquXtys7RTUsGScL-ry95YoRHJShVCYGu9W39Qhz/s640/jamesdean4.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />
2. <b>Joseph Gordon-Levitt</b> -- I meeeeean, does this need justification? No. It really doesn't. This man is near perfection, end of story. Sings, acts, dresses well, acts like a gentlemen, stars in romantic movies <i>and</i> blockbusters (like the upcoming <i>Batman</i>). So yes, he is our closest human being to perfection. Smell it, take him in, he's a breathe of perfect <i>summer </i>air (see what I did there?!)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtKaFpX2-wihLnt-eblEi18fqm00WzHjaRBKyFqJ4Tf5rLLD91tC-97LtnofW3LFNePEEXGTzeAvFxUPe85ehhDm4T9PVoTKK6oUa60jFoJjNq2JOQq3e9E0YzP-P0q-gVD2Qo6RGagljh/s1600/jgl4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="214" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtKaFpX2-wihLnt-eblEi18fqm00WzHjaRBKyFqJ4Tf5rLLD91tC-97LtnofW3LFNePEEXGTzeAvFxUPe85ehhDm4T9PVoTKK6oUa60jFoJjNq2JOQq3e9E0YzP-P0q-gVD2Qo6RGagljh/s640/jgl4.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />
3. <b>Andrew Garfield </b>-- Okay, I really <i>do</i> need to claim stake on this one, as he isn't huge <u>yet</u> but will be soon enough....once his <i>Spiderman</i> movie comes out. He has great taste in women, too, because his arm candy is none other than my girl crush, Emma Stone. Well played, hunky hunk, well played!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDHMcLVBwIybB5A_3v-fAIGqLEmlx9rpzCUHQ_x4c2vevVLVwSoUxIuifn72br2KljHWerSmb7HFoFTN4c3TidEcrqreFdo8zkwtHb6esg00_oe2rXLEpdO7pd_nutTKLce2FTwYWRldb7/s1600/ag4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="214" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDHMcLVBwIybB5A_3v-fAIGqLEmlx9rpzCUHQ_x4c2vevVLVwSoUxIuifn72br2KljHWerSmb7HFoFTN4c3TidEcrqreFdo8zkwtHb6esg00_oe2rXLEpdO7pd_nutTKLce2FTwYWRldb7/s640/ag4.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br />
4. <b>Paul Rudd</b> -- Call me unconventional here, but he has some odd quirk that I really enjoy (<i>that's what she said</i>). His humor is dry, his hair is dark, and his smile is just that adorable smirk that makes you wonder if he's an asshole or if he just is laughing at the rest of us for being schmucks & suckers to his charm. Ado-able....I mean adorable!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVMAGt_Ki5JzA-QemSfgP_ZlqcFYJzRyATFWRO2uVAef6z1XgKE66yfaFwD_Q2i9fekNXkz6TuBYCPZQOSe9vAgJWOV7QrG9uz8fRR1AxJpOvEdUlf2TyboPaqOXHvChxMI4WqqG_a5rex/s1600/paul4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="214" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVMAGt_Ki5JzA-QemSfgP_ZlqcFYJzRyATFWRO2uVAef6z1XgKE66yfaFwD_Q2i9fekNXkz6TuBYCPZQOSe9vAgJWOV7QrG9uz8fRR1AxJpOvEdUlf2TyboPaqOXHvChxMI4WqqG_a5rex/s640/paul4.jpg" width="640" /> </a></div><b><br />
</b><br />
<b><i>O</i></b><i><b>ther notable men include:</b> John Mayer (bears repeating!), Ryan Gosling (obvious), Robert Pattinson (vampire love), and the classic stylings of George Clooney (gold medal for silver fox status). Yummo in my tummo of man love!</i><br />
<br />
Let it be known that I do not condone the behavior of treating people like meat. After all, Johnny Depp said it best in <i>Charlie & The Chocolate Factory</i>. "....even I am eat-able, but that is considered cannibalism and is frowned upon in most countries." BOOM!<br />
Really, though, I mean this all in good fun. SSB is an asshole, but in the most loving way possible.<br />
& sure, these men are fantastic, but I obviously do not want to come across like a woman who charges after men like a starved panther. That's just wrong.....and I'm much more like a calm barracuda, just ask SSB!<br />
For more man candy, though, follow my boards on <a href="http://pinterest.com/TeacherTorrie/man-candy/">Pinterest</a> -- woot, woot! <br />
<br />
Until next time, share your man candy with me so we can all drool.....................<br />

<br />
I am not here to ramble on and on about the great and not-so-great fashions (YES to Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood for fabulous dresses and NO to Nicki Minaj for just....<i>no</i>), but rather, I want to discuss what the Grammys are <i>truly</i> about.....YESH, sir, it's time for an SS musical ssss-nack time ;)<br />
<br />
After reading a tumblr page completely dedicated to poking fun at this artist, I thought to myself, "How on earth am I one of the (apparent) few who not only know of this man, but thoroughly enjoy his music?!" I meeeean, it made sense when momma and poppa bear asked me who the gruffly man was on SNL a couple weeks back, but youngsters like us? Shenanigans!<br />
<br />
<br />
PLEASE, for the love of all that is music, take a few minutes and listen to the following songs from one of my favorites, BON IVER (pronounced bonnyvare or bone-E-vair)......you know, that bearded dude who won <i>best new artist</i> this past Sunday. <br />
<b>Fun Fact #1: </b>His song "Skinny Love" is under the top ten most played songs on my iTunes since adding his first two albums to my iPod in 2009. Yes. He is winning best new artist nearly <i>three</i> years later. Again, shenanigans. Wasn't the Gaga-ster up for it last year? Those silly Grammys!<br />
<b>Fun Fact #2: </b>His song "Woods" is featured in Kanye West's song "Lost in the World" -- a <i>fantastic</i> song, so check it out <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6gr4-vIMW4">here</a>! <br />
<br />
<b>Warning:</b> Do not listen to Bon Iver if you don't appreciate the slower, more melodic tones (no, I'm not being sarcastic). Honestly, his music may bore some to tears (like SSB) but enlighten others (like me). He has the voice to make me cry in the shower and rejoice in the pleasure of a sunny day.....all in the same album. He's true, raw talent, no gimmicks included, which is why he was a great choice to win this year. (Still love my girl Nicki, but I could have done <i>without</i> the odd performance.....)<br />
<br />
For <b>FIVE FRIDAY</b>, here are five <i>great</i> songs by the ever-so-enchanting Bon Iver....<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><b>Skinny Love</b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/ssdgFoHLwnk?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div><br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><b>The Wolves (Act I and II)</b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/X1ag8kapwUk?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div><br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><b>re:stacks</b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/ePatJIwB-sI?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div><br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><b>Calgary</b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/0KrmxavLIRM?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div><br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><b>Beth/Rest</b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.youtube.com/embed/9UtQe0JOCnM?feature=player_embedded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div><br />
If you were lazy and couldn't click play on any of these songs (shaaame, they're SO good!!), go pull out your best <i>pirate</i> impression (see what I did there?!) and get all of his albums: <i>Blood Bank (EP)</i>, <i>For Emma Forever Ago, </i>and<i> Bon Iver</i>. I promise, if you love music that is slower and overflowing with feeling, you will not be disappointed in the slightest!<br />
<br />
<br />
Until next time, please let me know what you think of Mr. Bon Iver (or <a href="http://boniver.org/">Justin Vernon</a>) AND inform me of any artist that <i>you</i> love so I can check them out...................<br />

Are you in the full swing of hating life all because of those dreaded winter blues? Well, let's talk about the mean reds, shall we? (<i>Breakfast at Tiffany's</i> reference, anyone?!) I meeeean, what happens in February about, oh, half way through the month? A day where we're supposed to profess our love to whomever with cards and homemade mailboxes? Oh....we aren't 10 anymore? Well then, shit, this holiday <b>sucks</b>! <br />
<br />
I am not the anti-Valentine's Day gal because I've never had one. In fact, I always have....which isn't bragging in the slightest if you've met half the guys I dated (SSB not included, relax). I just never understood the holiday because I show lah-ving 24/7, so long as the rest of the world isn't being a bag of douche and forcing me to turn into the bitch I usually am. <br />
<br />
However, we (being me and the BF, duh) still celebrate the holiday, and SSB and I will be doing so by eating a ton of red meat and guzzling down plenty of red wine (I'll take one for the team here), so we're <i>totes</i> in the spirit to celebrate the <strike>mean</strike> reds during this oh-so festive holiday! WHAT TO WEAR then? Let's discuss........<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinSVLEdCh3CLk3LXtuhRqvlk3RKCXXcUKvDrykItfCRBghleEETzZMtVKsxRopDxPzGEp5cxfBJUp8T_s8AC1REbEdmbNMAjhWkmLFVMtX8P9Af7m6LgtxnBVVnK9OqaMYDebqdsyTjFVS/s1600/VDay1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinSVLEdCh3CLk3LXtuhRqvlk3RKCXXcUKvDrykItfCRBghleEETzZMtVKsxRopDxPzGEp5cxfBJUp8T_s8AC1REbEdmbNMAjhWkmLFVMtX8P9Af7m6LgtxnBVVnK9OqaMYDebqdsyTjFVS/s320/VDay1.png" width="320" /></a></div>I am rocking a fitted black dress from H&M that does <i>way</i> too good of a job of giving me a curvy top half and a whittled waist (but nowhere near as <i>disgusting</i> as that gal with the 20" waist.....gag). I plan on wearing a cream cropped jacket with black trim that gives a bit of a Chanel feel but at an H&M price. Fun Fact: For any "big" date SSB and I have had, I have worn an H&M dress. How about them apples?! Anywho, find a dress that is sexy but still classy, because you want your man (or your flavor of the moment) to see you as a force to be reckoned with......and you just look sleazy and cheesy (and too downright <em>easy</em>) in a dress too short or in a too-bold print. Stick to <i>neutrals, solids, and polished shoes</i>. You're dressing for your date, not the rest of the world, and it is best to keep it demure and subtle if you're going to a nicer place.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLjZLhMAS6WNkw3RxRLKWyt2VPuAuVPyQ6iDun3kgbtaj51-huoVj2knpsbkVK2JC2WQbvnpOwn6TZ0xOAlJKlRD9LqwPi-3YsF-s9MNJoRkM26sB86NJx1xa4Jdo1aXFiT5z_SaL-dAsB/s1600/VDay2.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLjZLhMAS6WNkw3RxRLKWyt2VPuAuVPyQ6iDun3kgbtaj51-huoVj2knpsbkVK2JC2WQbvnpOwn6TZ0xOAlJKlRD9LqwPi-3YsF-s9MNJoRkM26sB86NJx1xa4Jdo1aXFiT5z_SaL-dAsB/s320/VDay2.png" width="320" /></a></div>If there was ever a time to invest in a fabulous apron, now would be the time! Wear a classic v-neck or cardigan, throw on some dark skinnies, great flats, and find the cutest damn apron out there! Buy him one, too, to make the night that much more fun. Cooking together is a great way to commemorate the holiday; buy the heart-shaped cookie cutters, make food that is red or pink (spaghetti?!) and go all out in the cheesiest way possible. Finish the night with cute satin PJs (Victoria's Secret has <i>the best</i>) and watch the cheesiest love movie you can find! (SSB would never let that last part slide....and <i>confession</i>: I <u>loathe</u> <i>The Notebook</i>. I know....but it's just <i>too</i> sad!)<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyr2R4wedp1CNf6rfblBleOj6L0PnXEM_H3eULKLJbN_Ig71OCPcqGvk2tiQfMpun_-TAMIBEJ9-4GBlpPiSJtmwk-y2b8T9VnvQjFW3iPwRjEKxBhU9koJfsq_iy5CWRZFpAg6NeAvEsO/s1600/VDay3.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="248" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyr2R4wedp1CNf6rfblBleOj6L0PnXEM_H3eULKLJbN_Ig71OCPcqGvk2tiQfMpun_-TAMIBEJ9-4GBlpPiSJtmwk-y2b8T9VnvQjFW3iPwRjEKxBhU9koJfsq_iy5CWRZFpAg6NeAvEsO/s320/VDay3.png" width="320" /></a></div>Some girls try to play the "it's about you" card and do something fun for their man.....even if they'd rather let their pup eat their favorite pair of heels than go to a hockey game on Valentine's Day. Regardless, if you are one of these gals, best to dress cute so you can at least look good while being miserable. Check out my post <a href="http://superficialsanctuary.blogspot.com/2011/10/sunday-funday-gameday.html">HERE</a> on some great sporting event outfits. As for the ice skating bullshit (<i>kidding</i>), it's a great idea so long as you don't mind freezing. Wear a great winter coat and a bright scarf that brings out, I don't know, the color of your eyes...or the rosiness of your frozen cheeks (on your <i>face</i>, dolls.....) It's February after all, and if you're located in the north or east this month, the most important part is to stay warm...but still look gaw-ghus doing it!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrRULb8Ufv70CxOMLWlqEwz5dyTQiiFHR0fWRIfkPSOXUx5K4_Z85razsQy75PIEBZuEuH8_tNtdDKX0pvwmNU3D0NccOHe9LHNg60Oif8q8tnaRWMk0YJQJzKmw3TCoXbkBcwcwKiKmb3/s1600/VDay4.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrRULb8Ufv70CxOMLWlqEwz5dyTQiiFHR0fWRIfkPSOXUx5K4_Z85razsQy75PIEBZuEuH8_tNtdDKX0pvwmNU3D0NccOHe9LHNg60Oif8q8tnaRWMk0YJQJzKmw3TCoXbkBcwcwKiKmb3/s320/VDay4.png" width="320" /></a></div>"Forget men, let's just put our pocketbooks on the floor and just dance, <i>screw guys,</i> I just wanna dance!" Dane Cook had it right when he made this joke years ago. Some gals prefer to just hit up the town all-BFF-style over the holiday weekend and rightfully so! Wear the hottest jeans you have with that great blouse/top....you knowwww, the one that makes the girls look good but not like you're suffocating them....just the perfect balance to create that comment from your BFF that is something like....."Woah, when did she become so hot? I'm jealous.....she's going to dance with so many more guys than me. Bitch....." Add a blazer or leather jacket to offset the fact your girls will be freezing and top (or bottom?!) it off with the tallest black heels or wedges you own. OR the red heels that everyone else thinks are questionable but somehow become totally appropriate for this specific night!<br />
(<i><u>Funny Side Story</u></i>.....one of the classes at my school had Mock Trials. The girls were told to look professional, like something their mother or grandmother would wear. One girl came in wearing the most offensively tight, short black skirt with HOT PINK 5-inch heels. It's a shame when your shift at the local 18&under club runs into, oh, 7:30am! Yikes.....)<br />
<br />
<br />
What are you planning for your holiday/holiday weekend? Fill me in, I'd love to hear it. I leave you with some last-minute tips on keeping your hair and makeup just as festive as the rest of you this holiday ;)<br />
<br />
<br />
<b>HAIR AND MAKEUP TIPS</b><br />
**Bring out the red lips if you're out with the girls....stick with a soft stain if you'll be smooching the man.<br />
**A great pink cheek against a nice winter face is always in style. Use a bit of creme blush under a powder to help it set and last all night!<br />
**Try putting hot rollers in your hair while doing your makeup or choosing your outfit. Flowing hair with a bit of bend and curl is perfect for the occasion. Not too stuffy but still romantic and fun! Be sure to hairspray the hell out of it with <i>flexible</i> hairspray, too!<br />
<br />
Alright, put cupid's arrow in my ass, I'm done talking about this holiday!<br />
<br />
<br />
Until next time, farewell love bugs and blogger valentines.................................<br />

I also drool over the Erin Condren planners just as much as the next girl....<br />
<br />
BUT I am not about to spend $50 on a planner that isn't <i>exactly </i>what I want.<br />
That makes me sound like a bitch....but what I mean is, don't you also love when your planner is unique to <i>you</i>? <br />
Then perk up and listen about my new purchase that is <i>smash-ing</i> if I do say so myself ;)<br />
<br />
<br />
SMASH Journals (not a journal at all, though, <i>sorry</i> Judy Blume types)<br />
<br />
I was out at different craft stores with my sister and momma bear to look at wedding supplies (for my <i>sister</i>, not me, silly ones) when I saw this section of "scrapbooking" items that ended up being filled with all of these goodies:<br />

</div>They have over <i>four</i> different types of "journals" to choose from. I myself got the "pretty style" but others include "eco" or "retro" which are other great options. The pages are filled with random drawings, cardstock in different print, and different "titles" -- <b>it's more or less an organizer for your life rather than a day-to-day planner with calendars</b>. I posted some photos of the pages below:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidxLE-VlTxjsGAmMQDx0XRUpbyG-oUh4h1BZI5wUCp8lBgf8E5owTGFavg0M_sexoXSn14K5gh-lN5vHfZdaLDFOTZeQVKrzQXw2Om-50QBgixcDcYEvCTDyBiRzgg1KIFzEXxRz7X4W51/s1600/pagesinside.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidxLE-VlTxjsGAmMQDx0XRUpbyG-oUh4h1BZI5wUCp8lBgf8E5owTGFavg0M_sexoXSn14K5gh-lN5vHfZdaLDFOTZeQVKrzQXw2Om-50QBgixcDcYEvCTDyBiRzgg1KIFzEXxRz7X4W51/s320/pagesinside.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">{the bottom right photo is one of the pockets I bought --</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">comes in a set of four & you can glue them in with the</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">attached glue stick! & of course I added the cute polka-dot tape!}</div><br />
The great thing about this company is that a <i>ton</i> of accessories come with it (well not <i>with</i> the book, but <i>for </i>the book you can buy separately)....and if you don't already know, I have a slight problem when it comes to accessories. <b>You can buy tabs, post-its, pockets, and other items</b> to make this "planner" your own....and <i>all</i> of them are so damn cute. I chose some solid tabs, others with designs, and two straps that keep the book compact when in your bag.....this is how mine looks when closed:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsqcI7KYEjF-8M_mFI8sFg_RUY7hajIiXb5BFTQWa-lBQTX5Nx5YBVlQ_hYuhttP9bsNEtlrA7dNgE0xUQDDSAc04Q7sV-lUvoobN9mZfwW9txxKL9I1jeGciGx113Cxr2UmOTMkryOGDb/s1600/closedbook.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsqcI7KYEjF-8M_mFI8sFg_RUY7hajIiXb5BFTQWa-lBQTX5Nx5YBVlQ_hYuhttP9bsNEtlrA7dNgE0xUQDDSAc04Q7sV-lUvoobN9mZfwW9txxKL9I1jeGciGx113Cxr2UmOTMkryOGDb/s320/closedbook.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">{I chose to use the black&white closing strap -- </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">OH and those are my keys for my classroom....also cute.}</div><br />
SO how is this book unique? Well, I wrote on a bunch of different tabs, glued them in with the pen/glue stick that comes with your chosen style of journal and made it <b>entirely my own</b>. I even took a piece of paper from the "pad" I bought for it and made a nice little label on the inside:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjfJ4kbcmWkjOcalh6zyqlfC7VBlJAjJBsooEZclQqbqBJt83w_mgmodkQXJYIuQZLDho0h7aXXUASg_SlxvArGL1n7bkKx2BH0ILqgjn22p2nY8rPBlu7W4JDA97aA1CV5iRjv6e7m70d/s1600/label.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" sda="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjfJ4kbcmWkjOcalh6zyqlfC7VBlJAjJBsooEZclQqbqBJt83w_mgmodkQXJYIuQZLDho0h7aXXUASg_SlxvArGL1n7bkKx2BH0ILqgjn22p2nY8rPBlu7W4JDA97aA1CV5iRjv6e7m70d/s320/label.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">{very circus-like, love the old-timey feel!}</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><b>I chose to create tabs for things I always <i>tell </i>myself I will write down.....but never do.</b> What is that you may ask? Well, an exercise page, a section for books I want to read, an "important" things to do page, and even a goals page that I have been meaning to start fo'eva now! Some of those pages look like this:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3iS7Nvfh7xrH7Pp-FmVsmUm915qvbRd1vsIi-LCbFzb5pk-XUOY_SAmE1LetzIRo-e9ROIue6ngBsaCitlGchU8fah2DSST3lZb5Xlw8x4xg1sBhfVDONdM5ynQ2ysrG8DrJ5XIYLgSYM/s1600/tabpages.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" sda="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3iS7Nvfh7xrH7Pp-FmVsmUm915qvbRd1vsIi-LCbFzb5pk-XUOY_SAmE1LetzIRo-e9ROIue6ngBsaCitlGchU8fah2DSST3lZb5Xlw8x4xg1sBhfVDONdM5ynQ2ysrG8DrJ5XIYLgSYM/s320/tabpages.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">{tabs include sayings like "exerci<b>z</b>e is power" and "2 read is 2 learn" -- </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">love how you can write whatever you want for the tabs!}</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div>So, like I said, this is the planner/journal/organizer for the gal who already has a day-to-day calendar -- OH, and I should note that I found all of this at <i>Michael's Craft Store</i> after seeing it at Jo-Anne Fabrics first and it was cheaper <b>AND</b> 20% off......meaning ALL of the goods you saw in the first photo were $24 total. YES. I kid you not, of course, because that would just be mean. <br />
The 20% deal runs until the 20th of February at my local Michael's, so you should run (not walk) to the closest one to you and grab these goods! I plan on going this weekend again to get even more tabs and fun items for my book.<br />
If you decide to do the same, please post photos and let me know! I was beyond excited to bring all of my items home to make my customized book and I hope you have just as much fun with yours :) <br />
<br />
<br />
It should go without saying, but this is not a sponsored post. I was just <i>that</i> excited about this new find! If you're more of an online type, check out <a href="http://kandcompany.eksuccessbrands.com/dept/SMASH+1.aspx?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&keyword=g+smash+v&gclid=CLX4pI3VlK4CFUff4AodyU3rHg">this site</a> to search for your own goods ;) ALSO check out <a href="http://www.smashstoriesblog.com/">their blog</a> for some <b>ridiculously awesome inspiration</b> on how others have made their SMASH books entirely unique to them! (It is <i>truly</i> amazing....)<br />
<br />
<br />
Until next time, I'm going to go and write down goals or draw some awesome doodles, have yourself a fantastic weekend................<br />

It <em>is</em> a happy Monday simply because the kiddos are <em>not</em> here, we have a nearly full free day to get ahead on lessons, grades, and the like. What am I doing with said free time, though? Well I took an hour in the moring to do grades......and then I hung up new posters and am now writing this here post. Yep. That's what teachers who are <em>ahead</em> do. That's what teachers who do work on the weekends do. That's what <em>cool</em> teachers do.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvlWqHRxXoOlZTLcurxi3C1k3IJdOQc_wed4UCnrA5qnyiTVExIVkpZkYOz2YGZPsyi-ezNJfx13mLE5zI470aOXGVQEq1nBi4doJrEvwmX4kcljmsPjAwSx8vhm0R7SzdNpbsMERMugpF/s1600/newposters.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" gda="true" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvlWqHRxXoOlZTLcurxi3C1k3IJdOQc_wed4UCnrA5qnyiTVExIVkpZkYOz2YGZPsyi-ezNJfx13mLE5zI470aOXGVQEq1nBi4doJrEvwmX4kcljmsPjAwSx8vhm0R7SzdNpbsMERMugpF/s400/newposters.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">{New Posters = gotta inspire the students, ya know? </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Well, at least it makes the room look cute....}</div><br />
I spent the weekend having a girl-tastic time with my pal while her hubs was out of town and SSB was working like a dawwg. We had to fit in some shopping, so naturally I spent money I don't have on things I don't need. How fabulous. Let's take a peak, shall we? <br />
<br />
(Sorry, I used online photos because I'm at work and wasn't proactive about taking these photos last night because I was still hungover from the weekend....my bad, yo. Really, these photos look wah-ayy better than any photos I would take, too. I need a Photo 101 class, fo reals.)<br />
<br />
--Well, I went ahead and bought a new accesory for my arm. My old MBMJ watch was great, but this gal wanted something new. Enter this baby. I already have my eyes on yet <em>another</em> one, soooo maybe I'll go for that when spring/summer rolls around.....I have issues.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg10qY9dANlwDU1oAspbDAsb4lV7go7QRvh1T_rcy2dm6-8pfaj94Zjo10A-HstO7_Q8wW1ovOXqyoRJh0t06zsF7FUDZHrAw2hi05dGlX-aLQ3qCNz_P1ReTZLaU8S4ILe33SBeZRORotz/s1600/mbmjwatch.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" gda="true" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg10qY9dANlwDU1oAspbDAsb4lV7go7QRvh1T_rcy2dm6-8pfaj94Zjo10A-HstO7_Q8wW1ovOXqyoRJh0t06zsF7FUDZHrAw2hi05dGlX-aLQ3qCNz_P1ReTZLaU8S4ILe33SBeZRORotz/s200/mbmjwatch.jpg" width="130" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">{I just found out yesterday the inside dials actually <em>do</em> work. Bonus</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">...even though I don't <u>really</u> know what their purpose is....}</div><br />
--Forever21 is that place where I could go in knowing very well I need <em>nothing</em> and leave with practically everything. I limited myself this time around, but sheesh, it's a vaccuum in there, sucking you into buying just about anything your eye catches.....aside from the bedazzled crop tops. Yowza....<br />
**<strong>Leather Vest with Studs</strong> - Neccessary. I don't know <em>why</em> it is, but it is. & I f*cking love it.<br />
**<strong>Feather Dress</strong> - Perfect for work with a blazer. Bring on the spring colors!<br />
**<strong>Fur Vest & Belt</strong> - I've been needing a fuller, longer vest and had to buy a belt to match, obvi. (Imagine the image without the buckles. Go figure, F21's site didn't have my exact vest, but this looks identical aside from the built-in buckles.)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZsjLXoPeJKU-K0ojLl9HKugkIuZM_N5FWnWX12PTkIgxbWPx5tvbP5mEIp5hJZHR-r4OyiVXBDoWNTWJfePiYUNH8mjBTRgTMp-yzcHFPkz8az0nWaU_znNSayUTj4HZKzis5WLtBckuE/s1600/F21+haul.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" gda="true" height="222" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZsjLXoPeJKU-K0ojLl9HKugkIuZM_N5FWnWX12PTkIgxbWPx5tvbP5mEIp5hJZHR-r4OyiVXBDoWNTWJfePiYUNH8mjBTRgTMp-yzcHFPkz8az0nWaU_znNSayUTj4HZKzis5WLtBckuE/s400/F21+haul.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">{I love how the studs (vest #1) are subtle but still stand out, but </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I detached the belt that just hangs there....not my favorite.}</div><br />
--My pal needed to return something to Aldo, so naturally, I browsed while she did so. She actually doesn't like these shoes (claims they are "growing on her") but I just needed to have them despite her friendy advice. I wore them out that night and they are way more fun than I originally thought. I dig 'em. You may not. In the words of this same pal, "that's what makes the world go 'round."<br />

I have a reputation to uphold. Liiiike, the one where <strong><em>I</em></strong> look like the joke because I'm a five foot blonde who actually takes time in the morning to look nice as opposed to the <em>real</em> jokes who take no time at all?! Yeah, the world doesn't make sense to me, either, hunny!<br />
<br />
Seriously, though, what I am lah-ving even more at the moment are animal prints in the literal sense. Take a great blouse, add some birds, horses, or what have you....and I'm sold. Let's disect this fashion trend, shall we?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzb9Q85j7_ab5aZw1mvu6ZfYl1WAfXWjj1jQCox8wRGY-rOPUworrRdULFH3NMLijyz-8YYe95j98wc3TjLLsUvXUI-04pwP-NnccTk2nqlzMDfX-5GgN1AvLqpzPgTQbTo256eoloY5Lg/s1600/animalprints.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" gda="true" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzb9Q85j7_ab5aZw1mvu6ZfYl1WAfXWjj1jQCox8wRGY-rOPUworrRdULFH3NMLijyz-8YYe95j98wc3TjLLsUvXUI-04pwP-NnccTk2nqlzMDfX-5GgN1AvLqpzPgTQbTo256eoloY5Lg/s400/animalprints.jpg" width="317" /></a></div><br />
<strong>1.</strong> I saw this top while shopping for new teacher clothesat Old Navy and I instantly thought, "I must have this naowww!" Add a great pair of fitted trousers or even paired under a great maxi and I just became a very trendy teacher. My obsession with birds & feathers may never be explained, so why not feed the affinity with a great top?! ($35)<br />
<br />
<strong>2.</strong> If I were to see a snail in the flesh (er, shell), I would probably tither away in panic. Seeing snails on this Anthro tank, though, changes everything! It comes in pink, too, but the navy color with the white snails makes it ever-so-slightly nautical, which is (always) in for spring. Matched with skinnies and a matching smoker's flat & I could dress professionally--but still stay trendy--on casual Fridays! ($118)<br />
<br />
<strong>3.</strong> If you love this from first glance, you better buy it <em>fast</em>. It came out last fall and is now on sale for $90 online at Nordstrom. It's a great statement piece for any closet and can be worn a number of ways, whether it is with a belted cardigan, camel leather jacket, or just with flats for a casual look. Who doesn't love a great panther print, honestly?! ($90)<br />
<br />
<strong>4.</strong> Even though winter seems to just be starting here, let's not forget the fact January is almost over! Bring out your sunny, spring side with this top from Forever21. Add jeans and tall black riding boots for a casual look, or trying adding skinny black leather pants for a fun happy hour outfit. H&M has <em>great</em> ones right now, so check them out! ($23)<br />
<br />
What are some of the prints you are wearing right now? Will you go out & grab this trend or ignore it & pray it goes away? It's got a bit of a girly-vintage-preppy mix to it, so I feel as though every style could find a literal animal print to enjoy!<br />
<br />
<br />

My feet in a great pair of black&white heels after teaching all day. Not that I have black&white heels, but the POINT here, people, is that after a day in heels (of any color variation), my feet <i>usually</i> are red and very sleepy. <br />
<br />
Let's be real, they down right <i>hate</i> me at the end of a teaching day. <br />
Maybe I should skip on the heel, but anything below three inches looks "awk" for sure on me. <br />
Maybe I should <i>just </i>invest in wedges? If only heels weren't so damn cute!<br />
<br />
SO then, SS, what's your game plan?<br />
<br />
Against my better judgement (seeing as how 99.9% of the student body is taller than me), I may invest in some flats again. Yes, I rocked them during high school and throughout college. These days, though, if I can rock a heel, gosh damnit, I <i>will</i>. Now, though, it may be a smart idea to get some cute flats in the shoe closet....and one pair in particular has caught my attention and I'm drawn in fo' reals.<br />
<br />
The shoe being ever-so loved at the moment? The <b>smoker flat</b> or <b>slipper loafer</b>. Really, whatever name you prefer works for me!<br />
<br />
Here are some awesome pairs (& some have an <i>awesome</i> price to match!) to round out this week with a <b>Five Friday</b>!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhF2sSNSMUMmH0QdY-dXA_adSoxZ1BbaZyisQRI_cX195GMOoFaehIkGeRrwLwe5qJUHImhGgMu26qIfMlRzVz6Lb8iyyUeRwdGsDS0EogBqApcLHsFJvlG-KkyU4OvZEaaozlLcTASAJQ/s1600/Screen+Shot+2012-01-19+at+8.03.16+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="136" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhF2sSNSMUMmH0QdY-dXA_adSoxZ1BbaZyisQRI_cX195GMOoFaehIkGeRrwLwe5qJUHImhGgMu26qIfMlRzVz6Lb8iyyUeRwdGsDS0EogBqApcLHsFJvlG-KkyU4OvZEaaozlLcTASAJQ/s200/Screen+Shot+2012-01-19+at+8.03.16+PM.png" width="200" /></a></div>1. <b>Target Turquoise Flat ($20)</b> -- I love anything blue and this is a fantastic shade to add that perfect P.O.C (as Mr. Brad Goreski says!) to any outfit. I could rock these with dark jeans and a silk blouse for casual Fridays!<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhu6fKAKboEE70ywoQxs4lBOWkAaFW1y44evXVAHLl5u19eVlfslrB4Qk2zRyUo_ZSkBgnGd_IYwXfMCZorajecvvnh1thuYHb4nJjqbnVMttTDYlAWnzkm4ZoWjoARaDhPmrh2IOWWwugQ/s1600/Screen+Shot+2012-01-19+at+8.03.06+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="139" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhu6fKAKboEE70ywoQxs4lBOWkAaFW1y44evXVAHLl5u19eVlfslrB4Qk2zRyUo_ZSkBgnGd_IYwXfMCZorajecvvnh1thuYHb4nJjqbnVMttTDYlAWnzkm4ZoWjoARaDhPmrh2IOWWwugQ/s200/Screen+Shot+2012-01-19+at+8.03.06+PM.png" width="200" /></a><br />
2. <b>Target Black Flat ($20)</b> - Love the patent look with this specific style of shoe. Something about the mix of the two gives them a classic feel, like I stole them from my mother's closet. Easily paired with jeggings and a chunky sweater for Sunday errands. (I may or may not already own these bad boys!)<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpoYIxztqe6PRGYFXLm4OOFJQaMhsjGN5z1_8eC86NybjA0Yn4YFE_P1KJNviM5Hy-3FrwTBL4QDQn6ln91bb9AYROfeaZrrI_6yi1pC6hSWJe7jknpa4nVK_GOOWJyhc6bMHmH2JEx68W/s1600/Screen+Shot+2012-01-19+at+8.00.57+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="142" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpoYIxztqe6PRGYFXLm4OOFJQaMhsjGN5z1_8eC86NybjA0Yn4YFE_P1KJNviM5Hy-3FrwTBL4QDQn6ln91bb9AYROfeaZrrI_6yi1pC6hSWJe7jknpa4nVK_GOOWJyhc6bMHmH2JEx68W/s200/Screen+Shot+2012-01-19+at+8.00.57+PM.png" width="200" /></a><br />
3. <b>BDG Woven Tassel Flat</b> ($40)- If I wear this trend into summer, these are great! They come in three different colors but the classic tan never fails. Great to pair with short cut-offs and a loose graphic tank & touseled beach waves for a mix of preppy and boho.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZ-0A8gu5iI2hQ-yzzbL4wyjkV3W3NDEFHOFI1dBLM1nWSZVXCJvYR0WRHPVaEgAcXvZprCMDAp86U39ngcw5PBi2Bw8O-GAjOTPWJ6WLdvhAD2rK39RMR_8z8lKD-lnP5vb31vIw-atls/s1600/Screen+Shot+2012-01-18+at+7.12.08+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="129" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZ-0A8gu5iI2hQ-yzzbL4wyjkV3W3NDEFHOFI1dBLM1nWSZVXCJvYR0WRHPVaEgAcXvZprCMDAp86U39ngcw5PBi2Bw8O-GAjOTPWJ6WLdvhAD2rK39RMR_8z8lKD-lnP5vb31vIw-atls/s200/Screen+Shot+2012-01-18+at+7.12.08+PM.png" width="200" /></a>4. <b>Charolette Olympia Kitty Flat</b> ($585)- I don't normally go for shoes like this, but I couldn't <i>not</i> post these on the list when I saw them. SO freaking clever! These would be great with a simple white v-neck and printed skirt or jeans and a leather jacket to toughen up the feline effect.<br />
<br />

Like the previous pair, I am not normally a red-wearing gal, but the print is so fresh and funky....and on such a structured shoe? It's truly the best of both worlds. & apparently I am now in love with tassels on shoes, too!<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I realize now that the last three posts I have done are pictures followed by blurbs. Not very original, but my mind has been so full of sccchtuff lately that I didn't even notice it until now. My bad. I will try to be a more innovative blogger ;) You know, like, later and whatnot. Not now. I need to empty my brain first!<br />
<br />
<br />
Until next time, have a faaaaabulous weekend!.....................<br />

SSB will be the first to say I do, but it's really a hobby, a passion, a mere interest. It doesn't threaten my well-being....just my wallet.<br />
<br />
If something can have an accessory, I feel it is my civil duty as a genuinely superficial person to give it that added extra touch of love.<br />
<br />
No, I don't own a bedazzler.<br />
Rhinestones make me vomit.<br />
<br />
However, my iPhone is less than a year old & has been through five phone cases.<br />
I just bought a Nook and <i>had</i> to buy it a cover and an adorable reading light...you know, in case I read in the dark (which SSB quickly pointed out....I'm never in the dark.) The light was <i>necessary</i>, though, just in case I find myself in the dark.....JUST in case, people!<br />
I bought my keys small gems (posted in a photo here) just because having one key just didn't justify the cuteness of my new car. Yeah, I went there. That key couldn't be lonely, that's just rude!<br />
<br />
So yes, it isn't a problem, so there's no need to recover from it. Here are some other things in the accessory depart that I am lahhh-ving right now...for accessorizing myself & the things around me that--you know--need love, too!<br />
<br />
1. This is the cover I picked for my new Nook (and I'm currently reading <i>Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children</i>) -- love anything that looks like a notebook. It was this or a Kate Spade cover...but it was $60 and I just wasn't swinging that when the one I chose was half of that!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjavu2VFy5XdJqy6rBUuTy2wUePuoA2FxxEMzeSo0kdogP571GIgqKmmrMkjDidalF4WZuqgDzNKoGPlmdwxJl2dItOonA4rJKfL7YB36J8tQNRYe6s3MCV9lpddgQ9cx1McTd4xKfwFpOs/s1600/nook.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjavu2VFy5XdJqy6rBUuTy2wUePuoA2FxxEMzeSo0kdogP571GIgqKmmrMkjDidalF4WZuqgDzNKoGPlmdwxJl2dItOonA4rJKfL7YB36J8tQNRYe6s3MCV9lpddgQ9cx1McTd4xKfwFpOs/s320/nook.JPG" width="275" /></a></div><br />
2. WHEN (not if) I get the next iPad (SSB's ears are burning somewhere), I will buy this case. I want a case that is more like a Nook cover. I like the sleeves and all that MBMJ & Michael Kors make, but I would much rather have a constant case covering the back, just like I like my iPhone. The patent blue is <i>fierce</i> in my opinion!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMl5KsobNpMP8g9MG9Iu6DeCgw39XwAT11CU1d2ZcrHxReAtSsJ6y9GuULlINNiR9wXQcNMhZu-aC3gJqHpwhfcakCVWe63ezj0gM7-rjPpb8bKdfNtGpnyyznw32DfOpV41fyjcTCl7kB/s1600/iapd.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMl5KsobNpMP8g9MG9Iu6DeCgw39XwAT11CU1d2ZcrHxReAtSsJ6y9GuULlINNiR9wXQcNMhZu-aC3gJqHpwhfcakCVWe63ezj0gM7-rjPpb8bKdfNtGpnyyznw32DfOpV41fyjcTCl7kB/s1600/iapd.jpg" /></a></div><br />
3. This watch. <i>Love</i> a dual-tone watch & also love rose gold. I <i>also</i> love that it is NOT a tortoise Michael Kors watch that is literally on everyone's wrists these days! I really must have this. (There goes that so-called "problem" talking again.....)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpiASwgOOtjoL-XUVMb41osvFbByD36bhZHKIrRK9XQt2220xtFd63XBk02RUt18Hh-OYWqcm21F-r_hqK22yLEcErMdQO9ZcihU75vcVepg-hrGGZm0Y7NOnYbgCfz_AC5xv12tC2f-on/s1600/watch.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpiASwgOOtjoL-XUVMb41osvFbByD36bhZHKIrRK9XQt2220xtFd63XBk02RUt18Hh-OYWqcm21F-r_hqK22yLEcErMdQO9ZcihU75vcVepg-hrGGZm0Y7NOnYbgCfz_AC5xv12tC2f-on/s320/watch.jpg" width="208" /></a></div><br />
4. I love having little things here & there in my classroom and on my desk and I love what B&N has to offer in the way of office accessories. How <i>cute</i> are these bookends?! One can never have too many bookends simply because one can never have too many books! (Nerd alert.)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJ2WHZl_aDSYwaNoUsITl0gh4DCP6qW5ysOZtB1mOlkQcwcTXQm0hFU_J48mk833uG_EW-M7BYM5gLlWyvhZMlp3zwiwgMgmoTeaLRBFXsGcGygeMXKrjOJJAmCXyMvFg_EwYWI6hzg4Yj/s1600/bookends.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJ2WHZl_aDSYwaNoUsITl0gh4DCP6qW5ysOZtB1mOlkQcwcTXQm0hFU_J48mk833uG_EW-M7BYM5gLlWyvhZMlp3zwiwgMgmoTeaLRBFXsGcGygeMXKrjOJJAmCXyMvFg_EwYWI6hzg4Yj/s400/bookends.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
What do YOU love to accessorize? Please fill me in! Obviously I will not buy all of these as reality usually sinks in (or just SSB's voice) and tells me I do not need bookends in multiple amounts or an iPad case when the newest iPad hasn't even been (officially) announced yet..........<br />
..........Fiiiiiiine. Maybe I do have a problem. The first step is admitting it. The second? Feeding it, keeping it ALIIIIVE (cue <i>Frankenstein </i>voice). Screw youuuuu, SSB, leave me and my well-accesorized life alone! (Just kidding, just kidding!!)<br />
<br />
<br />
Until next time, I'm off to go and look for a new phone case (kidding...sort of)............<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEij8onZvCiDQpDlWcj8xaq8jUP3o8poBJkSNYDXbC4T7CSkCf_68HdNJ6G7dlTGhCDA4I_9g1ixv1aOw37M20Bd-Y5a45xrohPpirl3QFcWY8TyyZbAW0_JMeEOTYZir8TvpAZXQs5UgbB5/s1600/signature.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="53" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEij8onZvCiDQpDlWcj8xaq8jUP3o8poBJkSNYDXbC4T7CSkCf_68HdNJ6G7dlTGhCDA4I_9g1ixv1aOw37M20Bd-Y5a45xrohPpirl3QFcWY8TyyZbAW0_JMeEOTYZir8TvpAZXQs5UgbB5/s200/signature.png" width="200" /></a></div>Torriehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17716420200177827259noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3733701117582981473.post-66993314228746687772012-01-18T08:13:00.003-05:002012-01-18T15:38:10.964-05:00Howww Pinnnteresting, Dahhhhling....I never jumped on the "Pinteresting Wednesday" bandwagon (however fashionably conscious that bandwagon may be!)....want proof? I'm not even linking this up...I'm just posting my recent pins. Does that make me a bitch? I rah-leeeely hope not. You're more than welcome to consider me lazy from it, though, that's entirely understandable and justified! (Sorry I'm not sorry?!)<br />
<br />
As of late, here's what I've been pining (or pinning) after.....HAH so witty, how can you stand it?!<br />

Love the sweater/scarf combo, her makeup, her hair, gahhh, she makes me jealous! Why did I ever stray from my blonde strands?! Thank gawwwd they are slowly coming back!}</div><br />

The hairspray, heavy perfume, and awkward tanning lotion?!<br />
It <em>must</em> be award season. & how <u>wonderful</u> it smells, indeed! <br />
Let's ignore the smells for just a smidgen, though, so we can talk about the red carpet. <br />
Because writing this blog is much more interesting than the lessons I should be writing right now.<br />
<br />
"Don't you have MLK day off, though, SS?"<br />
HA -- the kiddos <em>do</em>, but we do not. I wouldn't complain....if it wasn't for the fact I stayed out until 1:30am last night trying to prove I am <em>not</em> an old bore anymore to SSB. Let's just saying....this morning? Woof.<br />
<br />
<strong>THE OVERALL THOUGHTS</strong><br />
Was it just me or did everyone play it safe?! Solid colors may be in, simple cuts may be banging, but really, I only saw a few "wow" dresses. The rest were fantastic, no less, but not anything that made me text one of my friends to say, "did you <em>seeee</em> that?!" -- If you needed a fantastic play-by-play, check out Courtney Kerr's twitter feed from last night. She is the funny (and ridiculously) fashionable gal from <em>Most Eligible Dallas</em> -- a show I only watched because her monologues were <em>hilar.</em><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><strong><u>THE GREAT</u></strong></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAy29mA8oUIBWfTnCVic32y6BGBl9NuINoAR8dsZbRqKjqtXNPrAIdqyK74GJHDTAPRqv7buaCwATc82tvVaz93yHEOqWer2oh14hth9Wz3zVp1pThZYbVFDmE1qqr0V2UGEIm6DzyGmfm/s1600/thegreat.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="245" kba="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAy29mA8oUIBWfTnCVic32y6BGBl9NuINoAR8dsZbRqKjqtXNPrAIdqyK74GJHDTAPRqv7buaCwATc82tvVaz93yHEOqWer2oh14hth9Wz3zVp1pThZYbVFDmE1qqr0V2UGEIm6DzyGmfm/s400/thegreat.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><strong>Emma Stone</strong> -- If I had to choose a "girl crush," Emma would be my pick. She had me ever since she sang to the "Pocketful of Sunshine" card in that highschool movie. Anyways, this dress, the color, the eagle belt, it all worked for me. She rocked it from head to toe, nothing on her was off. <strong>Best Dressed</strong> win for me!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><strong>Reese Witherspoon</strong> -- She makes me regret ever being anything but my natural sunny hue! Dear gawwd her hair may look like she just had a romp in the sheets, but she rocked it! The dress at first glance (on E's red carpet show) looked leather, which was ah-mazing...but even after discovering it was not, it still looked fantastic. She nails it almost anytime just because she is seriously gorgeous. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><strong>Dianna Agron</strong> -- This was the "wow" dress for me. So many people will probably place her in the "bad" category, but I think she did really well with this choice. Red is a great color for blondes, a great color to be fun with, and she stepped outside the "simple" box, so I commend her for that alone. Hair and makeup were great complements, too!</div><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><strong><u>THE GOOD</u></strong></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgysujgaaMsmkSL5-ckV3EDKumzlHf-NMoLAWmfdH8mpV-Zr1NsRr1E2fF0GeEDMwmRo7AGvPtdzADwjFa3NDBU1vehGGlRV3MxdIBdMuICcs2TfqHOZzm2ySa8rMeyPaKv9oMNwVI34nPZ/s1600/thegood.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="245" kba="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgysujgaaMsmkSL5-ckV3EDKumzlHf-NMoLAWmfdH8mpV-Zr1NsRr1E2fF0GeEDMwmRo7AGvPtdzADwjFa3NDBU1vehGGlRV3MxdIBdMuICcs2TfqHOZzm2ySa8rMeyPaKv9oMNwVI34nPZ/s400/thegood.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><strong>Zooey Deschanel</strong> -- I wanted to love this but I could only like it. It looked great on her, went well with who she is, but the hair....did anyone notice the awkward curls that mimicked bad sideburns when she was being interview on the carpet?! I couldn't look away! The rest of the 'do was great and the tuxedo nails? Adorable just like her! I wish she went slightly more elegant but I don't fault her for sticking true to herself....and in a custom gown no less!<br />
<strong>Nicole Richie</strong> -- She is one of my fashion bitches, but she fell short on something here...I just don't know <em>what</em> that something is. The dress is great, if perhaps slightly too simple (shocker), the hair is nice but perhaps an updo would dress this, errm, dress better. It's as though there could have been five more minutes in the styling session to take this up a notch to hit a true high note.<br />
<strong>Jessica Biel</strong> -- Already preparing for her nuptials I see?! Test-driving dresses during awards season, perhaps? She looks gorgeous, of course, but this dress just was not right for the event. I would easily wear something similar to my wedding, but for an award show, and one you aren't even nominated in?! Go in another direction....one less on the path to Vera Wang and more on the side of, I don't know, Prada or Dior Couture?<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><strong><u>THE BAD</u></strong></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKNeQSXuMkJNWnHuLw5Vz2clh6VYnJ3p2C6wFjX1nOirMsIVYFqG_sRoiNm72syhCaWJheQbZtJ1oVSKjcrzKjCzUX2j6hx3EXOJjnA937dKJ0kGhTBPF5_SSxo91l0KFTKVzhhlT7JzLb/s1600/thebad.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="246" kba="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKNeQSXuMkJNWnHuLw5Vz2clh6VYnJ3p2C6wFjX1nOirMsIVYFqG_sRoiNm72syhCaWJheQbZtJ1oVSKjcrzKjCzUX2j6hx3EXOJjnA937dKJ0kGhTBPF5_SSxo91l0KFTKVzhhlT7JzLb/s400/thebad.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;"><strong>Salma Hayek</strong> -- Gorgeous woman....so why mess with your perfect face by adding an army of gold on your huge chest?! BAD....a terrible travesty! The bottom was nice but didn't match the top for me <em>at</em> <em>all, </em>as if the <em>real</em> bottom of the dress somehow was ripped by her bodacious bod and they had to pull off a silk tablecloth to save the night. Better luck next time.</div><strong>Evan Rachel Woof (I mean, Wood)</strong> -- HOW many animals were harmed in the making of this dress? The sequins look like lizard skin or snake skin....and adding feathers? On an emerald dress? Pick a texture and stick to it....otherwise, you look like a 5-year-old made your GG dress during Arts&Crafts....and it was the 5-year-old that doesn't exactly make "fridge worthy" art....<br />
<strong>Rooney Mara</strong> -- The shape, the cut, the bows by the boobs....none of this worked for me. She has such a tender and delicate face but it is matched with her harsh 'do and ill-fitting dress. I get that her hair is the way it is from her role, but still....she should have stuck to the delicate details....a dress in a lighter shade, even, would have saved this disaster. (& the fur jacket in the background is just a bonus for you all! hah)<br />
<div style="text-align: left;"></div><div style="text-align: left;">I am sure there are tons of other faaaabulous bloggers out there that shared their thoughts on the Golden Globes. Do we agree, disagree, did I happen to miss a travesty or a masterpiece? Fill me in!</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">Until next time, be glad you aren't being judged as harshly (by Joan Rivers) as these celebs are about to be....you know, if you're feeling like your Monday just isn't going well, puts things in perspective, sort of, kind of.............</div><div style="text-align: left;"><img border="0" height="53" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixNuEktsNnAQJmkWlRsRGesRh9spC2ceFasfFTRASBiytZ3h9jToG3l3PYBx8clX8SycjYM87VSIrE8TDzeA6W0EfqtSYHoyFM-ggGMS0maDkjRiIsWVeM8vql6A4Tav82BxfKp-QKBWOx/s200/signature.png" width="200" /></div>Torriehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17716420200177827259noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3733701117582981473.post-75760610112726684212012-01-08T18:46:00.006-05:002012-01-08T21:37:50.025-05:00SS Insights & Insults, Volume DosHello dear friends and readers, happy weekend to you and yours! Salutations all around.<br />
<br />
Thought I'd take this time to shed light on the most recent pop culture news considering I am good for nothing else in life. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjN3pC40edf0UgVAFwzW-vktakjVCxuITNjV0uTyg_ZWInc8DlhsRyjsGP2nVyPrZDYpCIQLgBEOUxh6ypOd2hwiwMRKlRj17jpgUHW8SMhdGs7v6TSK9ZMGY3S3iObb2CWRqCTN_OYt603/s1600/SSinsultsinsights.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjN3pC40edf0UgVAFwzW-vktakjVCxuITNjV0uTyg_ZWInc8DlhsRyjsGP2nVyPrZDYpCIQLgBEOUxh6ypOd2hwiwMRKlRj17jpgUHW8SMhdGs7v6TSK9ZMGY3S3iObb2CWRqCTN_OYt603/s1600/SSinsultsinsights.jpg" /></a></div>You know, because I read the Spark Notes of the novel I'm currently teaching my seniors (reeelax, I've read it before, liiiike, most of it...). <br />
You know, because I write the drafts of blog posts when I <i>should</i> be on hall duty (to check passes? pssh).<br />
You know, because I had my speech students write Current Events speeches so that I myself didn't have to read the <i>actual</i> news (& because another informative speech would be death to my soul).<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfE5ITYk1lfMnOaLbMx4ncf24pozM6ex4sZIbNe3tagz69QqVuBbCIcNmAJvELvp-4khNpIENjcU1tAfaHLbVZxKq3NmHNjerY0Xg0294i6fx1URBfL4uNFRmvgxRePqo2kdJxT1O7j48i/s1600/justin-timberlake-440.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfE5ITYk1lfMnOaLbMx4ncf24pozM6ex4sZIbNe3tagz69QqVuBbCIcNmAJvELvp-4khNpIENjcU1tAfaHLbVZxKq3NmHNjerY0Xg0294i6fx1URBfL4uNFRmvgxRePqo2kdJxT1O7j48i/s320/justin-timberlake-440.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>1. God <i>Did</i> Spend (A lot) More Time on Her....while she was on <i>7th Heaven</i>.....</b><i> </i><br />
<i>(99% sure she isn't wearing makeup in this photo...what a pretty bitch.)</i><b><br />
</b></div>Jessica Timberlake? Meh, sounds like a character from Sweet Valley High. If you ask me, Biel <i>is</i> gaww-ghus, but in that all-American, no-need-for-makeup, rough but still classy kind of way. Not in the Justin Timberlake way. YEAH. You all know what I mean. He could date a Victoria's Secret angel, an exotic beauty from another country, or just about any drop-dead diva with a brain....but he had to go and pick a freaking Camden -- I feel as though her precher dad wouldn't approve, too much attention, too much focus away from the big man upstairs. <br />
Really, though, I was not a die-hard JT fan (add another T and we have a serious crush!), but this news still made my heart die a bit inside. He was supposed to be a perpetual bachlor, playing in rom-coms, giving us all hope that more JT's exist in the real world. FAIL.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTBJkOpRhmsxcFdYSSaaXFe4KatG9bjenXl7i8fa1VG4hO2fy0v0SaIIKxIAM0vl1lVc62Stho-_VLkh_LlXGeOfA69SxZB76zttNuwC91HzDpy0zyjEJdCuUt37Lx1JdiNua0HiorzzHY/s1600/drew-barrymore-320.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTBJkOpRhmsxcFdYSSaaXFe4KatG9bjenXl7i8fa1VG4hO2fy0v0SaIIKxIAM0vl1lVc62Stho-_VLkh_LlXGeOfA69SxZB76zttNuwC91HzDpy0zyjEJdCuUt37Lx1JdiNua0HiorzzHY/s1600/drew-barrymore-320.jpg" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>2. Merrymore</b></div><div style="text-align: center;"><i>("Smile, laugh, act like this will last forever!") </i><b><br />
</b></div>This came out of left field, and while I am entirely indifferent when it comes to Drew Berrymore, I still thought this was great news....until my next thought was if it will actually happen. I just feel like, with these celeb days and ages, their double-sided tape has a better chance of <i>sticking</i> with them their their spouses do. Let's be real.....when you've been an actor since the age of 4 and a drug addict since the age of 13, I wish you luck, but your sober days may outlast your married days, just saying. The one thing she has going for her is that she'll probably <i>never</i> be nominated for Best Actress at the Oscars, giving her the dreaded "strong female" curse, dooming her marriage not even before the dust has settled around her award. Good job, Berrymore, way to aim low! (However, her man is pah-retty cute!)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhz7gkAISchVINCaBGp9-RRqOKNlBzD7Dlj4bWcDJCM9idTs8JfM2_0Vh_qPUpm3s7qG2Q-L4-MWp50R9TuFWDp-FwIEJNgzaox1yfm2vz3GHUCsP9ohuEkCgskI4xO-UfyN1bLjR-_rR6D/s1600/russell-brand-300.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhz7gkAISchVINCaBGp9-RRqOKNlBzD7Dlj4bWcDJCM9idTs8JfM2_0Vh_qPUpm3s7qG2Q-L4-MWp50R9TuFWDp-FwIEJNgzaox1yfm2vz3GHUCsP9ohuEkCgskI4xO-UfyN1bLjR-_rR6D/s320/russell-brand-300.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>3. "Living a Deeee-vorce Dream!"</b></div><div style="text-align: center;"><i>(Just by judging this photo, they clearly are not marriage material.) </i><b><br />
</b></div>We allllll saw this coming, maybe not as much as KK and Kris, but it was only a matter of time until these two just were not longer a Mr. and Mrs. -- let's do the math, shall we? One adorable but spunky-spitfire pop singer plus one recovering addict to both sex and drugs equals <i><u>nothing</u></i> good! Over from the beginning? Yes. Were we all hoping they could make it, proving our world is perhaps something decent rather than doomed? Sure. Looks like this failed, giving us even <i>less</i> hope that we'll make it past December 2012. Thanks Myan calander, I blame <b>you</b>!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizv4A99a8FPtQGafYaYgToQCQiQsuuqjwmmOxo7LdKs4qK_wpJ8Dc1NdKTYbbzLr0ZWHksVJXBH5BI-xb7a6Nc3sr7bK5WC1ZqFvfUr5bim_WykCJk7xE4KHobWDCijaCUHdOY82K5-siB/s1600/beyonce-300.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizv4A99a8FPtQGafYaYgToQCQiQsuuqjwmmOxo7LdKs4qK_wpJ8Dc1NdKTYbbzLr0ZWHksVJXBH5BI-xb7a6Nc3sr7bK5WC1ZqFvfUr5bim_WykCJk7xE4KHobWDCijaCUHdOY82K5-siB/s320/beyonce-300.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>4. Move over Princess Rih-Rih, there's a new bitch in town!</b></div><div style="text-align: center;"><i>(This belly is better than all of you, her blood is made of pure gold pretty much.) </i><b><br />
</b></div>It happened, it is here, and I probably am just as excited as I will be when I start having nieces and nephews. Beyonce's baby has arriiiiiived! Her and Jay-Z named their new baby girl Blue Ivy and I......accept it. Do I love it? No. Do I like it? Well, I don't hate it. It could be better, but more so, it could have been <i>much</i> worse. A reason for the name should surface before we even hit hump day this week, so if there's an adorable reason, well then, I'll probably give the name a bit more credit. That baby already has credit of the street variety, though, and other bitches in the R&B world better back up.....because this baby hasn't even left the hospital yet and she's already <i>way</i> cooler than you!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;"><b>SS Beauty/Fashion Buzz</b></div><div style="text-align: left;">--Running out of bronzer in January is a travesty. Good thing Sephora gift cards are there to save the day. I am officially <i>underwhelmed</i> by the ever-so-amazing NARS Laguna (wayyy too much shimmer!) and the small Benefit Hoola box scares me, sooooo I went with the tried (once) and true Tarte Mineral Bronzer in Park Ave. Princess. I had Hoola in my hand, but when I compared the colors, Park Ave. just fit my skin tone better. To my dearest blogging bud, <a href="http://procrastinatingpretty.blogspot.com/">The Procrastinator</a>, they <i>do not</i> sell The Balm at my Sephora (or my TJ Maxx's, for that matter), so I was bummed!!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiIHJZirY1VhhgH6y2DqU-NZ7Umm31fKZ-Iy9JzfRcIYx2A8o-jy2W0GkO2JfGh7bBSnFAgjjieMJCFhr_TYesJ898JUXG5P0zlYyGKO5hB1nHqYwgEFs7fnYi_yoKUFFeRwW01aPUNKms/s1600/newshoes.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiIHJZirY1VhhgH6y2DqU-NZ7Umm31fKZ-Iy9JzfRcIYx2A8o-jy2W0GkO2JfGh7bBSnFAgjjieMJCFhr_TYesJ898JUXG5P0zlYyGKO5hB1nHqYwgEFs7fnYi_yoKUFFeRwW01aPUNKms/s200/newshoes.JPG" width="200" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhL1dL9LZIhxnUY2CLyf3gIFMhGhu5ksCY84X3KRxWNJ_2yyyUPjsARJuuN8HurWKwUW6O_ZRfxRIzjNyVXqi3CTVWZifFSrlQSr1i-W5F_C5M5CZe4UmjtI1Xi6x0w2_MKVo6EFG9sVYD2/s1600/sunnybrown.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhL1dL9LZIhxnUY2CLyf3gIFMhGhu5ksCY84X3KRxWNJ_2yyyUPjsARJuuN8HurWKwUW6O_ZRfxRIzjNyVXqi3CTVWZifFSrlQSr1i-W5F_C5M5CZe4UmjtI1Xi6x0w2_MKVo6EFG9sVYD2/s200/sunnybrown.JPG" width="118" /></a>--I am on the road to blonde a solid three months earlier than planned! It feels good to be back, but I'm not <i>all</i> the way back just yet. Didn't want to ruin the health of my hair so we're taking it slow. The progress you ask? A sunny brunette or a very dirtayy blonde. You decide. (It keeps looking a bit lighter in all the photos that I take -- and again, couldn't take a <i>real</i> photo as I <u>still</u> cannot find my camera cord. Blast!)</div>--I apparently went on a mini shoe binge and scored these two new beauts. Love is an understatement. Left pair is from Target and the right is a Steve Madden pair from Marshall's. Last one & in my size....necessary. I totally plan on rocking both to work, too, sooooo to the older bitches in their Easy-Strides who always glare at my footwear, look out, momma got new girls in town!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Hope you all had an enjoyable weekend -- my hometown had a nice random warm spell. Lah-ving that! I somehow managed to make it out both nights......but was tired during both outings, as well. I am not old, but boy, if I don't get a nap or hit the bed before 11pm, I'm just no good to the world. Note to self: NAP before going out for beverages if you do not plan on coming home until 4am. Woof, what is this, college?! Pshhh.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />

<br />
It's back to work tomorrow after a too-short break away from the kiddos, so I thought I'd help the wounds by shopping. Apparently, everyone else in my town thought the same.....woof.<br />
<br />
I headed to Victoria's Secret for their semi-annual sale before going to Old Navy and Ulta. A mini spree, yes, but I'm still stoked about the goods!<br />
<br />
Shall we just skip the VS portion of the shopping trip? I think so...<br />
Oh, and let's forget the fact that I lost my camera cord and had to take these with my trusty iPhone.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhi3nztpU3lE_la4uAGb4o3H7M3UGzSlVHrsu8QB1NeE2r4oJ6jnYsWHeGwhApIDspqhsZhCUeVR6oXD6Xeg8Ly1j-kQxbny1vOP52Rc9cpMbW2J1v28df3KrENrXHAJ8OVoLMfZweKOUBv/s1600/haul2012.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="212" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhi3nztpU3lE_la4uAGb4o3H7M3UGzSlVHrsu8QB1NeE2r4oJ6jnYsWHeGwhApIDspqhsZhCUeVR6oXD6Xeg8Ly1j-kQxbny1vOP52Rc9cpMbW2J1v28df3KrENrXHAJ8OVoLMfZweKOUBv/s640/haul2012.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><u>OLD NAVY</u><br />
<b>Striped Sweater </b>-- Not entirely sure what drew me in about this seeing as how it is bright <i>and</i> has stripes, but nevertheless, I love it now. A bit of nautical, a bit of prep, perfect for work!<br />
<b>Twisted Neck Top </b>-- I picked it up merely because it was cheap, but the effect of the "twist" around the neckline is really cute, and again, stripes! Sensing a pattern....no pun intended.<br />
<b>Bobble Bottle </b>-- Thanks to my blogging buddy <a href="http://almostbritain.blogspot.com/">AlmostBritain</a> for telling me about these! I will (hopefully) be able to keep h2o bottles out of my car by using this bad boy which filters the water for you. Woot woot! Found it by the check-out at ON, couldn't resist!<br />
<br />
<u>ULTA</u><br />
*Thanks to my dear, dear friend in FL who got me an Ulta giftcard for Christmas. She just knows me, that one!!*<br />
<b>Urban Decay 24/7 Liner in Zero</b> -- Finally! I got one! I went to see if they had the NAKED liner set from the holidays, but alas, it was sold out. Bummer. Still, I knew I needed to add one of these bad boys to my arsenal and the one I picked up was the <i>last</i> Zero, so it was really fate calling out to me. Obviously.<br />
<b>Mario Badescu Drying Lotion</b> -- Have used this before but was bone dry on my last bottle. I am slightly addicted to this stuff even though my skin problems are (usually) non-existent. This stuff <i>works</i>, though, for those "ahhhh" moments around the time of the month.<br />
<b>Revlon Lip Butter in Raspberry Pie</b> -- (Another) finally! I have been looking for these everywhere and could never find them. I was entirely unsure of what color to get, but this raspberry hue looks rich and perfect for the winter months. I may have to review this bad boy, more to come perhaps.<br />
<b>Sally Hansen Salon Effects in Love Letter</b> -- Could not pass this "color" up when I saw it; very newspaper nails but without the work/mess! Clearly anything that <i>looks</i> like it took time but <i>didn't</i> is a winner in my lazy-ass book.<br />
<b>Urban Decay Mini De-Slick Setting Spray</b> -- Running low on my "All-Nighter" spray and thought I'd give "De-Slick" another chance. I could use some oil control as of late so hopefully this work better than the classic spray.<br />
<br />
There you have it, a haul to start off the new year right! As a side note, you should <i>definitely</i> hit up your nearest VS for their semi-annual sale. Ridiculously good deals! I got eight items for $100....and let's be real, ladies, most bras there retail for at least $75 -- and who doesn't love a great sale?!<br />
<br />
<br />
Until next time, I hope your new year is also starting off wonderfully............<br />

<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">Admit it, we all do this.</div>Admit it, we all don't really care.<br />
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"><br />
</div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">Well, this year, I do. Sort of. Kind of....I mean, I'm going to try!</div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"><br />
</div><br />
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; text-align: center;"><b>2012 Resolutions! (Sort of....)</b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">1. <b>Fit into my bridesmaid's dress.</b> No, this is not a strict, LOSE WEIGHT CHUNKER (whooo you callin' chunker?!) resolution, but rather, I need to tone my ass up (or really, my tum tum) before the wedding. It's in May. Calling all Richard Simmons, Jillian Michaels, and Tracey Andersons.....give me your best shot, I'll do my best not to cry in the shower after.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-xnejWdFIYCg/Tv32e75dwuI/AAAAAAAABE4/BA49DOcEHXk/s1600/tumblr_l0qc9vJNNi1qztsrto1_500.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="183" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-xnejWdFIYCg/Tv32e75dwuI/AAAAAAAABE4/BA49DOcEHXk/s200/tumblr_l0qc9vJNNi1qztsrto1_500.jpg" width="200" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">{"she'll never forgive me for skipping those crunches, </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">did you <i>hear</i> the way she was screaming at me?!"}</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"></div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">2. <b>ALWAYS eat breakfast. </b>I know, they say a Starbucks latte every morning is <i>not</i> a breakfast meal, but it <b>is</b> to me...or has been for a solid two years now. I eat breakfast on the weekend....sometimes. I need to go out and buy some good "grab and go" breakfast items, so let me hear your <i>healthiest </i>favorites! I can microwave it at work if need be, too, so what is your favorite quick meal?<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNPAurrmveV_RDN3q0ZUs9Mc55N1xkzTu1iVfWKS2L9NyIB1CXVMzMrLUjs4-efVL1kmlXQNPaqkCVeDTscv0NpkMNIC5Tv5XwhkdtMvbq6C45kWr4Ssyt_RggeP87TYmukTY2EH7mq08-/s1600/rbreakfast.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="161" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNPAurrmveV_RDN3q0ZUs9Mc55N1xkzTu1iVfWKS2L9NyIB1CXVMzMrLUjs4-efVL1kmlXQNPaqkCVeDTscv0NpkMNIC5Tv5XwhkdtMvbq6C45kWr4Ssyt_RggeP87TYmukTY2EH7mq08-/s320/rbreakfast.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">{starbucks <i>still</i> has to be a part of my "balanced" breakfast....} </div><br />
3. <b>Keep my car clear of h2o bottles.</b> Yeah, it sounds like a pathetic resolution, but you have probably not seen the passenger floor of my car, it's a disaster zone with half-filled bottles....and <i>lots </i>of them. Seeing as how I have myself a NEW CAR (said in my best <i>Price is Right</i> voice), I think I should kill it with the white trash bottle look and keep my new whip looking fly & fresh.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjb3IdYZK_4unkhmk6XGkDgaLmZl1my45_R6SSv16RTUscSp5oEtgDcxZpJUhHiGSDD7efxFJn8k-0Pfj_bHH2PraQGr9MJuMm8CmPzCWAN-oibRv5x8gdoe6uW2N7dktlMqTGzJ3JHV24a/s1600/newcar.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjb3IdYZK_4unkhmk6XGkDgaLmZl1my45_R6SSv16RTUscSp5oEtgDcxZpJUhHiGSDD7efxFJn8k-0Pfj_bHH2PraQGr9MJuMm8CmPzCWAN-oibRv5x8gdoe6uW2N7dktlMqTGzJ3JHV24a/s400/newcar.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">{i <u>want</u> to say i feel like a straight ganstahh in it, but it's more girly than </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">anything - lighted speakers & hands-free controls, though, baboom! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">oh & my keys will never be bulkier that that, <i>hate</i> that look!}</div><br />
4. <b>Drink TWO bottles of h2o everyday.</b> Hahahahaha I laugh at my audacity to state such a bold thing. Again, another sorry excuse for a resolution, but I am a <b>terrible</b> water drinker. I just <i>don't</i> like the stuff! However, I know it's absurd of me to not drink it, so I plan on making it taste good at least....you know, get rid of that, ugh, water taste. It's awful, really. However, if I can pull off this resolution, then maybe #3 won't be so hard to overcome, too! Genius, I tell you!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TKgitbTkQWM/Tv34SeKEi2I/AAAAAAAABFc/1tBfM3W-ZMc/s1600/MiO-Liquid-Water-Enhancer-Products.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="192" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TKgitbTkQWM/Tv34SeKEi2I/AAAAAAAABFc/1tBfM3W-ZMc/s320/MiO-Liquid-Water-Enhancer-Products.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">{should I just add these to my water, are they any good?!} </div><br />
5. <b>Actually keep my above resolutions.</b> Hey, go with me on this one. If I follow <i>this</i> resolution, then I just followed every <i>other</i> resolution on my list. It's double the guilt if I make this resolution and don't follow through with the others, sooooo hopefully this one results in my (sort of) resolutions becoming a (definite) reality. Right? RIGHT?! Well, we'll see......<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://inthecrowds.files.wordpress.com/2011/01/calvin-hobbes-new-years-resolutions-dec30.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="151" id="il_fi" src="http://inthecrowds.files.wordpress.com/2011/01/calvin-hobbes-new-years-resolutions-dec30.jpg" style="padding-bottom: 8px; padding-right: 8px; padding-top: 8px;" width="200" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">{classic.} </div><br />
<br />
There you have it, my Five Friday -- resolution style! I hope you all realize these are not truly my big goals of 2012, but a list of things that are absurd and easily fixable and prove how ridiculous I am. Hope you have a list of these too ;)</div><div style="border-color: -moz-use-text-color; border-style: none; border-width: medium;"><br />
For now, I cheers to you and yours and hope you have the best of times in 2012. I will be back "next year" to discuss my adventures in 2011 and share some photos, too!<br />
<br />
<br />
Until next time, have fun watching that big ball drop (that came out terribly wrong)...........................<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.polyvore.com/glitter_gals/set?.embedder=2478537&.svc=blogger&id=41373930" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="glitter gals" border="0" height="320" src="http://embed.polyvoreimg.com/cgi/img-set/cid/41373930/id/sNeYw8sw4RG9FcVAg_BajQ/size/e.jpg" title="glitter gals" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<div style="text-align: left;"><b>GLITTER HEELS.</b> Duh, most obvious choice <i>ever</i> to grace our feet! They pair with just about any outfit so long as it is in solid tones and minimal on the shine and sparkle....we don't want to look like a <i>complete </i>disco ball....at least that's not the look <i>I'm</i> going for!</div><div style="text-align: left;"><u>PAIR WITH:</u></div><div style="text-align: left;">-a great LBD</div><div style="text-align: left;">-a red skirt and black top</div><div style="text-align: left;">-solid gold dress</div><div style="text-align: left;">-jeans/jewel tone blazer</div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.polyvore.com/bright_lights/set?.embedder=2478537&.svc=blogger&id=41374292" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="bright lights" border="0" height="320" src="http://embed.polyvoreimg.com/cgi/img-set/cid/41374292/id/uleesMww4RG--pRQDeXgBg/size/e.jpg" title="bright lights" width="320" /></a><b> </b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b>BRIGHT PLATFORMS.</b> Considering you cannot pair your glitter heels with a glitter dress (unless you want to look like you've been dipped in a vat of sparkles), you'll need to pick another pair of shoes. I have heard that platforms are slowly falling out of style (noooooooo!) but before the new year hits, bring out your red or blue heels to pair with a solid dress to give a great pop of color. Any jewel tone works during the holiday season, so a cobalt blue or great ruby/burgundy color would be perfect.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><u>PAIR WITH:</u></div><div style="text-align: left;">-a glitter dress</div><div style="text-align: left;">-black tux pants & white collared shirt <i>with</i> a bow-tie (Kardashian "Khristmas" card?!)</div><div style="text-align: left;">-jeans & a sparkly jacket</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.polyvore.com/wild_walking/set?.embedder=2478537&.svc=blogger&id=41374499" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="wild walking" border="0" height="320" src="http://embed.polyvoreimg.com/cgi/img-set/cid/41374499/id/VnouNM0w4RGb_HTqf-hZgg/size/e.jpg" title="wild walking" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<b>LEOPARD WEDGES.</b> So fierce, so ridiculously cool, you'll be the best badass anywhere you choose to party on NYE. I would stray from anything shiny or sparkly when wearing these shoes, though, as the combination should be left with the girls being <i>paid</i> to walk the streets that night!<br />
<u>PAIR WITH:</u><br />
-lace sleeved LBD<br />
-burgundy top & skinny leatherette pants<br />
-cropped skinny jeans & a muted gold sweater<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.polyvore.com/patent_heels/set?.embedder=2478537&.svc=blogger&id=41374725" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="patent heels" border="0" height="320" src="http://embed.polyvoreimg.com/cgi/img-set/cid/41374725/id/KtN7vs0w4RGkHm_GVq3GWg/size/e.jpg" title="patent heels" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<b>PATENT BLACK BOOTIES.</b> I am usually not a fan of patent black, as most shoes look cheap in this fashion (unless, of course, they aren't <i>actually</i> cheap). Something about a pair of patent booties looks very androgynous, though, which always wins in my fashion book!<br />
<u>PAIR WITH:</u><br />
-bright tights & a that LBD (always a go-to!)<br />
-dress shorts (in a fun hue!), black tights, white blouse<br />
-black skinnies, ruby sweater, black jewelry<br />
<br />
Regardless of your shoes--or outfit--choices, be sure to have a fun, safe, and extremely enjoyable new year's eve....looking forward to seeing NYE outfit posts!!<br />
<br />

Until next time, let's rock out these last few days of 2011.................<br />

<br />
Yeah, I'm talking about all those people you see at church, holiday parties, or work functions that took the dress code to an entirely new level....a level of utter travesty. Let's point them out verbally and giggle behind our computer screens, shall we?<br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><br />
<b><u>#1 -- ALWAYS Keep it Classy</u></b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhEvmvMHrSNUKBy5VkvI0ATi8jOm82P5a4hoSVnxl9PlNu3a1U8YSk1FJgkiInsj7PzrnOTDuTlB18VgQ6Kp-Ulu5dR4rOBYawxXpnbKT6V-emBfxdw9lAKKCvIkKGU7LCxER8EUjV7mcIU/s1600/dress.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" oda="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhEvmvMHrSNUKBy5VkvI0ATi8jOm82P5a4hoSVnxl9PlNu3a1U8YSk1FJgkiInsj7PzrnOTDuTlB18VgQ6Kp-Ulu5dR4rOBYawxXpnbKT6V-emBfxdw9lAKKCvIkKGU7LCxER8EUjV7mcIU/s400/dress.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>Ladies, it is <i>never</i> ok to transform your club cocktail dress into a church-going clothing item. Really, the big man and baby Jesus will not smile down on you for your choice of poor fabric, shiny sequins, and sheer black tights you wore in a sorry attempt to "class" up your Christmas outfit. <br />
Rather, think OPAQUE tights, something that hits closer to the knee than closer to your ass, and when in doubt, do <i>not</i> wear something that looks like it falls under the "club" section on F21's website. Yes, hunny, you know what I am talking about...step away from the one-shouldered animal print!<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><b><u>#2 -- Man(ifest) your Guy Code</u></b></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTXSM8tifUoWgh0lHjupSe51_fsmgzo5iDNCjDTJQ53zXocPhxpC8DVWsdIoTDmXVCxPIPVcHq_WtMYXaxBgfF6K7DBBSgM8Kxa7v3vw5CqtUXhVQYyYf5Kp2aYba8LBcvWcFXvRpTS64R/s1600/men.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" oda="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTXSM8tifUoWgh0lHjupSe51_fsmgzo5iDNCjDTJQ53zXocPhxpC8DVWsdIoTDmXVCxPIPVcHq_WtMYXaxBgfF6K7DBBSgM8Kxa7v3vw5CqtUXhVQYyYf5Kp2aYba8LBcvWcFXvRpTS64R/s400/men.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Gentlemen, please, under <i>no</i> circumstance, wear a turtleneck to <b>any</b> holiday function. Really, even if you are married or have a girl locked down with a ring, it is still entirely unacceptable to revert yourself back to your childhood days of santa-printed turtlenecks and reindeer sweaters. Am I the only one seeing this horrific flashback to yesteryears?! Seriously, though, you look like you're suffocating yourself over the holiday stress and that is<i> never</i> a good look to sport, dear lads.</div><div style="text-align: left;">Rather, a solid-colored sweater or plaid button-down in neutral tones is a smart choice. Understated is always classy, never cheesy. Plus, if you don't have a girl locked down, then you have every reason to look sharp and not seedy with your Santa neck-contraption!</div><br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><b><u>#3 - (Do NOT) Wear your Cheer on Your Sleeves</u></b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKeBTtcuHYJy7ppt1dhQmRngCiFMSdtATpfGMDqxuzDA7k-gpd1QNtLIl1yIyO2UFB6yySIwtWI07Fj2l98m86n1YBI-ieKd8hcaNRHXtYdtKrvgOpLuXJhWpa3efqRXQP2us4uuLiGhKH/s1600/sweaters.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" oda="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKeBTtcuHYJy7ppt1dhQmRngCiFMSdtATpfGMDqxuzDA7k-gpd1QNtLIl1yIyO2UFB6yySIwtWI07Fj2l98m86n1YBI-ieKd8hcaNRHXtYdtKrvgOpLuXJhWpa3efqRXQP2us4uuLiGhKH/s400/sweaters.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>Lest we forget about <i>those</i> people who wear entirely too much cheer on their sleeves.....and stomachs and shoulders and legs and.....you get the point. Overdoing it on the trashy sweaters and printed pants may be humorous, but really, it is incredibly embarassing at the end of the day. Aside from being the goofy guy in your office or the funny history teacher all the kiddos love, this look does not work! The worst part is when women age themselves by rocking those 3D sweaters where the presents, snowmen, or Christmas trees are literally popping off the vest/sweater/trash...like, <i>really</i>, you<b> really</b> thought it looked good? Did you fail art as a child, too? Clearly your taste in all things creative fell to the wayside somewhere....I hope Santa finds it and brings it back for you with a tastefully wrapped ribbon to boot!<br />
If you <i>must</i> deck the halls in wearable holiday cheer, do it with colors rather than visual art. Wear a red sweater with a great cream scarf. Rock a cobalt blue tee with a black blazer. Jewel tones say "let's rock in this holiday" in a much more fashion-forward way than the woman who has Christmas lights for buttons on her cardigan.<br />
<br />

<br />
I will leave you with a photo of me & SSB from a Christmas party we attended this weekend.......and boy, we <i>nailed</i> the theme!<br />
Ugly Christmas party?! More like absolutely-dreadful-to-the-point-of-tears Christmas party!! BOOM.<br />

What is something <em>every</em> girl thinks about around this time?<br />
Something that sparkles?!<br />
Something that shines?!<br />
<strong>Obviously.</strong><br />
I mean that in the sequin-glitter way, ladies, as I am not looking for any bling-bling this holiday season, reeeeelax! (You can breathe easy, too, SSB!)<br />
<br />
The scarf I am highlighting today has a hint of sparkle and shine and still keeps me warm and cozy no matter the season. It's subtle enough to not look like I purchased it from a teeny-bopper store, but bold enough to make a statement no matter the outfit pairing.<br />
<br />
<em><strong>Ombre Scarf from Express</strong></em><br />
I bought this as a birthday present to myself (don't we all do that?!) and have loved it dearly ever since. It literally makes any outfit look <em>that</em> much better. The two-tone effect gives it even more wearability, as well, so this bad boy is a front-runner on the wall of scarves. The others are jealous of its sparkly attitude, it's clearly a diva......<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjv9jQJHdhSnefCQ9jgqYBlhPt0r7EMjNvDoN4wlHPUyVJM8e2oO5JRyRq0NEpQ4wJpE0OT-NC241coADrP6n7jTFFFf3icVYfTI6wE1cR5VnS3436cvYIijeD1E-2W8pBVS49jWuzDasXl/s1600/WW.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" oda="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjv9jQJHdhSnefCQ9jgqYBlhPt0r7EMjNvDoN4wlHPUyVJM8e2oO5JRyRq0NEpQ4wJpE0OT-NC241coADrP6n7jTFFFf3icVYfTI6wE1cR5VnS3436cvYIijeD1E-2W8pBVS49jWuzDasXl/s320/WW.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">{I know the bottom two don't look like it, but the ends are looped through -- the effect <em>usually</em> looks very polished & not quite as plain as it is portrayed in the above photos, my bad!}</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><strong>The "T" Tie</strong> -- Very simple but gives a very polished effect, too!<br />
1. Wrap the scarf around your neck once (the classic way)<br />
2. Bring both ends up into the loop and pull them through.<br />
3. Adjust as needed!<br />
(Sometimes I tie the loops after or even "twirl" the circular part to give a braided effect.)<br />
....like I said, simple but polished. This has been my recent go-to style!<br />
<br />
<br />
I am hoping Santa is nice this year and brings me a new scarf or two for the collection. Perhaps my next "WW" will be a new scarf that was a Christmas present....one can only hope ;)<br />
<br />
<br />
Until next time, hope you're keeping warm and wrapped up this Wednesday.......................<br />

Don't answer that.....<br />
<br />
....I think I stopped because they just got monotonous, fo reals.<br />
Seeing as how it is dangerously close to Santa's arrival, though, I thought maybe I'd do a mini wish list for my classic "Five Friday" post -- bring it back with some Christmas class, ya dig? ;)<br />
<br />
Christmas dies a little when the fat red-suit man is no longer real and when your parents stop asking for a "wish list" (which mine still do, but not nearly to the feverish extent in former childhood years) BUMMER, seriously. This holiday really has sneaked (yeah, <i>not</i> snuck!) up on us this year, so I've had little time to consider my gifting options. Below are five that I would be happy to give <i>or</i> better yet...receive for myself, bitches!<br />
<br />
<b>1. Urban Decay's 24/7 Eye Pencil Travel Size Set of 5 in NAKED</b><br />
Why <i>not</i> receive a gift that goes with the greatest eye palette of all time?! I think having mini neutral liners from UD would be an amazing gift. I would love to try these out, too, as I have never purchased one of the 24/7 pencils before. I know, I hear your hushed gasp of shock! Buttttttt, dear sisters, if you're reading, take note. Please & Thank You!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1OVKt6owAg7zFYQK-S9Fv-2WSvVbyI_qrju73x9mHosmHmue4Kmhy5kWnW4lF7ZIdXbEeMeMasf3dEAVFSZVovFi3j2KnSVGkjCwLw8XQ4DXB_z0J5Tje4Dc1rwA_mGzyVfBZNnktgSr_/s1600/Screen+Shot+2011-12-11+at+12.39.19+AM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1OVKt6owAg7zFYQK-S9Fv-2WSvVbyI_qrju73x9mHosmHmue4Kmhy5kWnW4lF7ZIdXbEeMeMasf3dEAVFSZVovFi3j2KnSVGkjCwLw8XQ4DXB_z0J5Tje4Dc1rwA_mGzyVfBZNnktgSr_/s1600/Screen+Shot+2011-12-11+at+12.39.19+AM.png" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">{I think they come in a <i>great</i> size, too, a serious deal!} </div><br />
<b>2. Ray-Ban Classic Aviators or Wayfarers</b><br />
I am <i>terrible</i> with sunglasses, so I'm the classic girl who "doesn't deserve nice things." However, I love these sunnies so much, I would consider taking <i>extra</i> good care of them if someone was <i>extra</i> nice enough to give them to me (cough cough, SSB!) -- I would like the gold aviators or the classic black wayfarer....you know, because I'm clearly a badass.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVOXNmcTRwlB0LTixE8VhvdBxl2fNxyJc3g5460EzRBnPybqcUZOys0HKfbMvAO8YuVO2Fg8zz4L6xJ4FAT3AaXhFx3arWGf4opZDIxHQ_EB-lVTSfMimTVbiCJsCDUS40qUbiQ54M87yI/s1600/Screen+Shot+2011-12-11+at+12.38.25+AM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="124" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVOXNmcTRwlB0LTixE8VhvdBxl2fNxyJc3g5460EzRBnPybqcUZOys0HKfbMvAO8YuVO2Fg8zz4L6xJ4FAT3AaXhFx3arWGf4opZDIxHQ_EB-lVTSfMimTVbiCJsCDUS40qUbiQ54M87yI/s320/Screen+Shot+2011-12-11+at+12.38.25+AM.png" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">{Ray-Ban knows their shit, for sure!} </div><br />
<b>3. Fur Throw Blanket</b><br />
After seeing one of these bad boys at Marshall's recently (which, bee tee dubs, I've become obsessed with their home section as of late!), I <i>had</i> to have one....but didn't really feel like buying it. They are awesome, though! So many color options; a dark brown one with a plush side in addition to the fur. They also had one, though, that was a wild sandy fur color that was <b>out.of.control</b><i>, </i>hunny! It would look bananas in my bedroom and I'd do Rachel Zoe so proud....and not only because I just used two of her catchphrases!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAXTEIHQpDd7nLjlVoKjp9or0aKHeekghy0yNVNNUUeRi80kimI3SvTxrsCgsQuS_lIZnskgpEDNHwnoN_P30e44iN5L-ihxkTPpUm3_OCa-ehgNPK6JkmyyKWdPGrolW_NLN1A6lE7AYR/s1600/furTHROW.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAXTEIHQpDd7nLjlVoKjp9or0aKHeekghy0yNVNNUUeRi80kimI3SvTxrsCgsQuS_lIZnskgpEDNHwnoN_P30e44iN5L-ihxkTPpUm3_OCa-ehgNPK6JkmyyKWdPGrolW_NLN1A6lE7AYR/s320/furTHROW.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">{Look, this one already comes with a nice bow for wrapping!} </div><br />
<b>4. New iPhone Case</b><br />
I feel like I think about "needing" a new case more often than not. Really, I'd be fine and completely content without a new one....had my recent case not just committed pocket suicide. I pulled it out in a rush and the side (that was super-glued shut) caught my pocket & snapped to an unfixable point. I would consider repurchasing the same one (Andy Warhol's print of an old telephone) but wouldn't mind getting a new one that was a bit girlier. I currently have an EIGHT dollar one from ON (feels like highway robbery) that looks like an old cassette tape....<i>pretty</i> badass, but I could still use another option ;)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiT10IKEMV2ry_RnKk4CsZnuxFsmuiLEbXUKXv2EbdL0wrH0EFsKXG0EOMfLznESA11o8GmSr1Xfv-4qpLl4X4GYQVGCgCmPeg3TFNEkxySy4N54Qk-rc5Mfjpr3mwO7xKc_5dK7uF4pyj4/s1600/Screen+Shot+2011-12-11+at+12.31.47+AM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="302" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiT10IKEMV2ry_RnKk4CsZnuxFsmuiLEbXUKXv2EbdL0wrH0EFsKXG0EOMfLznESA11o8GmSr1Xfv-4qpLl4X4GYQVGCgCmPeg3TFNEkxySy4N54Qk-rc5Mfjpr3mwO7xKc_5dK7uF4pyj4/s320/Screen+Shot+2011-12-11+at+12.31.47+AM.png" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">{DVF knows her clothes and now she does the iPhone beautiful justice, too!} </div><br />
<b>5. New MBMJ Watch</b><br />
<div style="text-align: left;">I love the one I already have, but I could always use a gold/rose gold option for those accessory days where a silver watch just isn't vibing with the rest of my outfit. Girl problems are <i>so</i> tough! I love simple watches, not into bling-tastic ones, but it needs to be masculine. I hate small watches. Yuck city. I mean, I'd be pretty freaking content with the one below!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmmVG131uPmr1D98rAVrdAMY7hF4LTWoegaIlmNsb4BKzFFKrJGAr5FXCLFoPhc08Ci39rDiyELaFVV1rUThL1-d6RQqxd41u1xApVpLZsKs-Su0QMtE_jHhTDc-hJzg2s5nRJnFo6y67A/s1600/Screen+Shot+2011-12-11+at+12.49.13+AM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmmVG131uPmr1D98rAVrdAMY7hF4LTWoegaIlmNsb4BKzFFKrJGAr5FXCLFoPhc08Ci39rDiyELaFVV1rUThL1-d6RQqxd41u1xApVpLZsKs-Su0QMtE_jHhTDc-hJzg2s5nRJnFo6y67A/s200/Screen+Shot+2011-12-11+at+12.49.13+AM.png" width="111" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">{Love the two-tone style, simple but sleek} </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div>This could sound totally bitch-tastic, but that was a fun "Five Friday" to do! Now that I got to write my own Christmas list, I feel much more into the holiday spirit. Granted, my family and friends have most likely finished their shopping already, but I'll be sure to keep these items in mind when I'm out shopping for myself post-Christmas...is that wrong of me? Probably. Do I care? Definitely not.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Until next time, I hope you are also diving whole-heartedly into the holiday season. I will be back to show some weekend pics of SSB and myself in <i>awesome</i> Christmas attire...............<br />

</style><span style="font-size: small;">------------------------ ------------------------ ------------------------ ------------------------ </span></div><div style="font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: small;">Hello everyone! I am so excited to be a guest blogger on SS's amazing blog! I am the writer behind <a href="http://missmaryelizabethrose.blogspot.com/">Little Ramblings</a>. I love fashion, makeup, music, movies, etc., and you can find all of this and more on my blog! Today, I will be sharing some of my crafty DIY centerpieces to help you prepare for the holidays! </span></div><div style="font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: small;"><br />
</span></div><div style="color: #990000; font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: left;"><b><span style="font-size: small;">Cranberries & Pebbles.</span></b></div><div style="font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: small;">This first centerpiece is my favorite. It is simple and so elegant. Another plus about this centerpiece is how affordable it is! I bought the vase and glass pebbles at The Dollar Store, so that's a grand total of two dollars. I picked up the cranberry branches at Jo-Ann Fabrics last year so I am not certain of the price, but I believe they were on sale for about one or two dollars. They can be found at any craft store, too!</span></div><div style="font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: x-small;"> </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5n7F7aUG19T9UqRWAZOQAqW41jHqJsT6HnkGCHrlbCEKHGkmUfcg_2XmdlbPrShApv6ezbjtYr-sq573Z1Jb7OF6FYsmrJuw8vhF-rKXovMcwLv6nkvzzH59Dh4-gZV1C_tyymvd4sU-2/s1600/cranberrycpwhatyouneed.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5n7F7aUG19T9UqRWAZOQAqW41jHqJsT6HnkGCHrlbCEKHGkmUfcg_2XmdlbPrShApv6ezbjtYr-sq573Z1Jb7OF6FYsmrJuw8vhF-rKXovMcwLv6nkvzzH59Dh4-gZV1C_tyymvd4sU-2/s400/cranberrycpwhatyouneed.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjQ78YCq1R5IIC3TQGPKSGfaHpVrh5fAH3iHc_-2kojPrGuQpGZbBw2ogdNhsDeX_42A0OaeOgMPq1sVrTDWo8ZNZqN8obKM1kytwDXkTEpwnkUcN2swDxg08k9qeEFLBl4JOI-HeRcHta/s1600/cranberrycp.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjQ78YCq1R5IIC3TQGPKSGfaHpVrh5fAH3iHc_-2kojPrGuQpGZbBw2ogdNhsDeX_42A0OaeOgMPq1sVrTDWo8ZNZqN8obKM1kytwDXkTEpwnkUcN2swDxg08k9qeEFLBl4JOI-HeRcHta/s400/cranberrycp.jpg" width="302" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">{This <span style="font-size: small;">decorative piece would be a great centerpiece, but it could also be placed </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: small;">on a mantle, side table, or even in a bedroom for a sleek and simple decoration.}</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

They are the perfect holiday colors for anything and everything. This would look gorgeous on a table with a couple candles surrounding it. Very romantic! You could also place these decorations on a bookshelf, side table, or any nook and cranny that could use a little holiday cheer!}</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; color: blue; text-align: left;"><b>Bright & Beautiful.</b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I love the bright and cheerful colors of this decoration. That place has some great stuff if you spend some time looking. I picture this piece in the middle of a table filled with snacks and treats to add a little extra glam. It would also make for a fun centerpiece!}</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I hope you enjoyed this little DIY post! I would love to see your versions of these centerpiece ideas! I hope you have a great holiday season! Thanks again for having me SS! </div><span style="font-size: x-small;"></span><br />

<span style="font-size: small;">Thank YOU so very merry much, <a href="http://missmaryelizabethrose.blogspot.com/">Little Ramblings</a>, for spreading holiday cheer on my blog today. I love these ideas and will do my darn best to incorporate them into my Christmas decor! My personal favorite decor item this season (aside from presents under the tree!) is a Christmas tree candle! I absolutely <i>love</i> the scent of a fresh tree and am glad candle companies jar that shit up so I can have it before our <i>actual</i> tree is cut down and put into our home! (Which is happening later today, woot!)</span><br />

After all, when was the last time I blogged? I don't even remember. Gawwwd, <em>that</em> is a travesty worse than my kiddos failing their philosophy quiz today. HAPPY FRIDAY TO MEEEEE!<br />
<br />
What's that, SS? You're discussing your job? That can only mean one thing.....<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><strong>TEACHER RAAANTS!</strong></div><div style="text-align: center;"><strong>hell to the yes.</strong></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKlHbDE21vXIksfoAQsx5PMSOCJW4aZYNd303-QAN9V9OZqEo-Bs_kY7WMWrdhT8c9kYXLHzfMwbC8oxNt2mP0154EdkrlTvDFB61GkcFTLcOxfrDQ36hV2COIFJkmn36vnfb44SO3rrFf/s1600/Bad%252520Teacher.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="231" mda="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKlHbDE21vXIksfoAQsx5PMSOCJW4aZYNd303-QAN9V9OZqEo-Bs_kY7WMWrdhT8c9kYXLHzfMwbC8oxNt2mP0154EdkrlTvDFB61GkcFTLcOxfrDQ36hV2COIFJkmn36vnfb44SO3rrFf/s320/Bad%252520Teacher.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">{no, I do not drink on my job, smoke the reefer, or teach middle school anymore....</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">but this photo is still kind of perfect.}</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div>I should really preface, well, my entire<em> life</em> by saying I truly am a happy human being. I laugh at the absurdity this job <strike>sometimes</strike> always shows me, enjoy it to the fullest (most days), and do not walk around all schlumpty-dumpty because I have students who hate me (or other teachers, <em>get over it</em>, you're 40). <br />
I, in fact, work my tush off and then go home to my other life. My life that keeps me sane. My life of napping, eating dinner with friends, drinking with the bf, and other wonderful weekend activities. Those don't (always) make for good stories, though! <br />
Teacher rants, though? Ohhh ho-ho, hunny, they will <em>forever</em> be jems.....these ones happen to all be of the "let's awkwardly hit on the young teacher" variety. ENJOY!<br />
<br />
<strong>Lesson 1: LISTEN carefully....</strong><br />
<strong>Me:</strong> Sometimes, this class would be a heck of a lot easier if you were all just as calm as <em>me</em>!<br />
<strong>Male Student:</strong> Wait, wait, so you <em>don't</em> want me to do me, you want me to do you?<br />
<strong>Me:</strong> For the 42 minutes you're in my class, yes, I think that's just enough time to learn how relaxing it is.<br />
<strong>Male Student:</strong> Miss Smith, I'll wait.....{solid five second pause}<br />
<strong>Me:</strong> Ugh, I hate my life. Well played, though. I hate you, but well played.<br />
<em>.......If you didn't get it right away, either, I don't feel as bad. If you go back and read my response, it fits almost too well. Face, meet my palm. Face, meet my hard desk....and meet is again and again.</em><br />
<br />
<strong>Lesson 2: Smell the Sexy</strong><br />
<strong>Student:</strong> Miss Smith, do you ever have to use the girls' bathroom?<br />
<strong>Me:</strong> I have before, yes, but do my best to avoid it.<br />
<strong>Student:</strong> Do you ever smell the upsexy in there?!<br />
<strong>Me:</strong> I'm sorry, what?<br />
<strong>Student:</strong> The upsexy, in the girls' bathroom, have you smelled it before?<br />
<strong>Me:</strong> Seriously, are you slurring your words? Did you take too much cold medicine again?<br />
<strong>Student:</strong> The <em>upsexy</em> Miss Smith!<br />
<strong>Me:</strong> What the heck is upsexy?!<br />
<strong>Student:</strong> Not much, Miss Smith, and thank you for calling me sexy. <em>That's</em> going on Facebook.<br />
<em>......I would have thought he was so damn clever if it was not for the fact I saw this on other blogs just a week after it happened. I tried it on SSB afterwards....didn't work very well. Damnit.</em><br />
<br />
<strong>Lesson 3: Cue the Lonely Island Song.....</strong><br />
(Student walking into my class listening to his iPod, song "On Fire")<br />
<strong>Student #1:</strong> Miss Smith, we're both on fire, what with our red hair.<br />
<strong>Me:</strong> Yeah, if only mine were real, but it's not.<br />
<strong>Student #2:</strong> Wait, that isn't your natural hair color?<br />
<strong>Me:</strong> No, I'm a natural blonde actually, going back to it in March.<br />
<strong>Student #2:</strong> I think I just, uh, in my pants, I can't <em>wait</em> for March.<br />
<strong>Student #1:</strong> Well, I guess we'll both still be on fire then, right Miss Smith? Get it? Get it?<br />
<em>........I think SSB may need to come into my classroom(s) with a baseball bat on the last day to beat some sense and respect into these kiddos!</em><br />
<br />
If you're wondering what satisfaction I get out of my job, sometimes I ask <em>myself</em> that question. Really, though, even if I am driven to drink after each day I leave the building, I still love what I do. Even when the kiddos fail their quizzes because they didn't study or a kid comes into my class 5 minutes late because he was "dropping off his kids at the pool," I still love my job. All you can do is smile, laugh, and play harder than you work. I do just that.<br />
<br />
I'll leave you with the <em>best</em> comment I heard being yelled down the hallway just before my favorite eighth period today (which is where <em>all</em> of the above stories come from!)...."WELL, HAVE FUN SEXING UP SKANY [insert girl name here] TONIGHT, BECAUSE YOU SURE AS HELL AREN'T GETTING ME!" <br />
.......and the bulk of this school is filled with rich, white kids. Yeah. I felt like I was in a 2011 mashup of <em>Clueless </em>and <em>Mean Girls</em>.....& I loved it.<br />
<br />
<br />
Glad I could come back from my hectic job to blog about...my hectic job. More rants coming soon, I'm sure, but hopefully they are entirely unrelated to barely legal kiddos faililng miserably in the pick-up lines department.<br />
<br />
Until next time, farewell friends and lovahs.........<br />

I know it's only been a week but dear gawwwd it's felt like ages since I've checked up on everyone's blogs (and my own!) and this is one of the things in my life that keeps me sane, so you can only imagine how crazed I am! This past week was out of control and it is <i>great</i> to take this time to catch my breath and blog a bit!<br />
<br />
Now that December is here, I thought I'd share some monthly favorites!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqFlagSt8pbQhipu2ndpM2xQXKHyHVu2H7nIhpvFep7AviAddUEs3P0yPnMIPekxf_o3jx_wMZ9gF97RtcKFP3yYqz150LoQyhq2AN-DU33c_bibmcCEyQbc3K8atDcWaNGZ0JR1L4vcU8/s1600/NovemberFavorites.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqFlagSt8pbQhipu2ndpM2xQXKHyHVu2H7nIhpvFep7AviAddUEs3P0yPnMIPekxf_o3jx_wMZ9gF97RtcKFP3yYqz150LoQyhq2AN-DU33c_bibmcCEyQbc3K8atDcWaNGZ0JR1L4vcU8/s320/NovemberFavorites.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<b>1. "Dirty" Chai Tea Latte</b> - Take a chai tea latte, add vanilla & a shot of espresso (or two), and you just made one dirty but delicious drink! It's the perfect blend, trust me on this one, I'm an sbux whore after all (or just a whore dating a barista, whichever....)<br />
**Perhaps I should do a new 'bux drink every month seeing as how I did a drink <i>last</i> month!** <br />
<br />
<b>2. New Ink</b> - Obviously a favorite considering I got them in the beginning of this month. I am so in love with my new roman numerals and feather. Plus, they gave me another reason to buy new tops for work to cover them, even though I don't <i>really</i> have to, considering my tats are not naked women or swear words.<br />
<br />
<b>3. Dermalogica's Daily Mircofoliant </b>- My skin was all sorts of "blah" this month -- sometimes dry, sometimes oily, sometimes downright miserable. This kept my skin from going full-blown hideous on me, thank the good skincare lords.<br />
<br />
<b>4. Florence + The Machine's <i>Ceremonials </i></b>- SUCH a fantastic album, it was on my iPod non-stop....and a group of students may or may not (read may) have caught me belting out to it on the way to school one morning. "So you like to sing in the car Miss Smith? That's hot." -- Good thing I have no shame.<br />
<br />
<b>5. Colorful Beanie </b>- A favorite towards the end of the month, yes, but damnit I love this hat already, I wore it as often as I could! I was tempted to say "yes, of course!" to those few who have asked me if I made it myself, but let's be real, SS has no real talents like that. Only $5 from F21, though, so at least I have the talent of noticing a good bargain! (sorry for the blurry photo of it)<br />
<br />
<b>6. Covergirl Eyebrow Pencil in Soft Brown</b> - My eyebrows are practically invisible against my face, thanks natural blonde hair. This one matches perfectly to my new darker hue, to the point where people who know about my blonde brows will say, "Genius idea to color your brows to match." Yeah, I would <i>never</i> actually color my brows, that seems too dangerous to me (says the girl who has gone to get her lashes tinted......but hey, those bad boys are invisible, too!)<br />
<br />
There you have it, my favorite products/items/whatevers for the eleventh month of the year. Let's hope the last month of 2011 is a fantastically beautiful one! Here's to 20-ish days until Santa comes......SANTA?! I KNOW HIM!!! (couldn't resist!)<br />
<br />
Until next time, I look forward to reading about your favorites for this month!.........<br />
